I'm looking for some help out here in Cellar Door. You know the Roost? The tavern Diluc had up and running, right? Well...I'm kind of doing the up-and-running bits, but...this really isn't...my thing. That is, I'm not that great at it, but I don't want this place to go under just because Diluc's gone away. It's a decent place, you know?

So-- So I'm kind of looking for some extra help. Barkeep-type help. Mixing and pouring drinks, mostly. That's the part I'm not great at. Cleaning and handiwork, sure, but... [hh.] I have a lot to take on, between this and outpost duty.

If this is the kind of thing up your alley, then...do let me know. I'll be grateful for the help.

I mean, I help the animals and plants. I do stuff. So do other Sleepers. [God, they'd be so fucked if he were the only one running that place.] I'm just more like...the live-in caretaker. Like a farm nanny! Who happened to get chased outta town, ahahah.

Eventually. I think farm life's been good for Billie. Lets him have a little more running-around room, you know?

Tuck and I don't wanna stay-stay out for too long, though.

[Tuck hates nature, actually. But moving out here made the most sense at the time, especially taking their son into account. Tensions have cooled in town, but Vyng still prefers keeping his distance a little longer. His relationship with the Disciple community was never exactly good.]

A kid. New kid. He's having a hard time and wasn't really taking care of himself too well alone, so... So this is better than him holing up in a dingy room by himself, getting sick.

He's not a bad kid, though. So don't worry about any trouble. In fact he-- It might...be good for him to meet you guys. He needs to open up more.

Mn. Like, fourteen-fifteen. No more than that.

He's...his life before this was already some kind of nightmare, and adding all the mess of this world on top is...y'know. [not good.]

I-I'm not equipped to help him manage some of the worse stuff, so I'm working to try and get him connected to someone who can, you know? So he can cope.

[About the same age as Meers, then. People at that age are more capable than people give them credit for...but they still need a sense of safety. A family.

Vyng quietly hums.]

You mean like a therapist?

Yeah--yeah, exactly. [wow, Vyng knows what a therapist is. Manabu is quietly appreciative of that.] So I'm working with Vira-Lorr to find the right connections there. Folks who know about that kinda stuff.

[It's sad how many people here don't know what a therapist is. As fucked up as Vyng's old world is, at least they've still got those.]

Maybe you could look for some scholarly Nightwalkers? Or some nightwalker-ly stalkers. [A beat.] Scholars, I mean.

It was awhile back. Maybe springtime. I'm not even sure she's still here anymore.

Mn, I think so, too. She's probably the smartest person here in Trench, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, it's her. So hopefully...things will get better for the kid. That's my wish.
