Look, I know there was a ton of family drama with messed up timelines to get through.

[This is quite possibly the understatement of the century to anyone who has had to deal with a Skywalker whether they know how many people are connected to that family or not. But the feed pans to a strange mass.]

But did everyone just forget to warn me that sometimes people just fall asleep and end up in a weird eye covered cocoon thing? Maybe before my brother wound up in one?

Trust me, he's always been this way. The first day he arrived in Deerington he was brandishing a lightsaber at anyone that moved, completely out of control, and was demanding to know a way out of town.

[Then Maul killed him but he doesn't feel the need to tell Jaina that. After relating that, he becomes a bit more serious and looks more invested in the conversation now.]

You mentioned timelines. [As in plural.] Have you been talking with Ezra?

[ or maybe because you don't want to tell the guy from another reality who murdered your/his father that you have family running around. probably. but it's not like they're really close or anything. ]

No. I don't have any information as to why, but he's likely safer in there than he is from anything out here.

We had a weird childhood. But it's better to have that with siblings who always have your back even if they drive you nuts.

There's been a lot to try to figure out with all the grandparents that I'd never met. Mostly I just know... they're here even though I didn't expect them and different people remember to different points in time.

Well, the events were recent to me. Not long ago. I visited Alderaan to return your mother's droid and to say my goodbyes.

I'm glad he'll be okay. He's still in trouble though.

[It probably sounds ridiculous coming from someone who is clearly younger, but she doesn't care. He's in trouble.]

I'll have to practice Mom's "just disappointed" voice.

Even I'm slightly confused as to how everyone all fits in with everyone else.

If she was ten, that must be... thirty years before me.

[Thirty years and an entire regime change. The galax barely looks the same]

[ Kylo snorts, he can't help it. She does remind him slightly of her, though perhaps not exactly the Leia Organa he knew. This timeline business is to say the least, confusing. ]

You'll have your work cut out for you, Organa's has been known to make grown Senators cry.

I know quite a bit. Being here the longest from our universe means being able to see the puzzle pieces all put together as others have arrived.

[But even then there's still plenty Maul still doesn't know about, particularly those farthest along the timeline that are one or two generations removed from him.]

But you're right, I have no idea how she does that. I guess you've met her.

I guess that's probably the best option.

The only ones I knew before are Anakin and Uncle Luke.

I've only really had siblings by choice, not blood. But in my experience, still true.
