[The feed opens on a pretty tired and lightly corrupted looking Lance (his default state, honestly). He runs a hand through his hair and then puts on a crooked smile. Lights, camera, action! This is a good announcement.]

Sooo, my buddy Keith's birthday was last Sunday and I figured why not surprise him with a party? I mean, after the whole bloody dragon transformation and the sex jokes, I think he's earned it.

[He shoots the camera a grin and a pair of finger guns and then he lets out a slightly awkward laugh that he interrupts with a cough into his fist. Yes, he's aware that was kind of a lot but like hell he's gonna outright admit it. Moving on...]

It's not gonna be fancy but it is gonna double as a halloween party cause if we do it right, it'll be thumping into the early morning hours [he winks], so come in costume if you wanna. Or just come get some cake, hang out, play darts, dance and drink, all that stuff. It'll be at The Red starting around eight. [A pause as he then considers one last thing.]

Oh, and if you wanna get him something last minute and need some tips just hit up me or Shiro. [And with that, he gives a two finger salute with a sparkling, crooked grin and ends the feed.]

B-Day Party at The Red

The party is located in one of the many rooms at The Red set up for things like medium-sized and intimate performances, dancing and karaoke. Yes, there's a karaoke machine, Lance didn't arrange for that specifically, but he's glad it's there because there's some people he'd like to bug into singing. If anyone wants to jam and can play an instrument, there's a bunch of them up on the small stage. If you play it, it's likely there... or even if you don't know how to play it...

There's red balloons and colorful halloween streamers and spooky lights all over the ceiling and some balloons are around on the floor to kick and toss, as well as a fog machine adding to the spook. If you wanna make more balloons, there's a huge box of un-inflated ones and canisters of helium on one of the tables set out around the edges of the room. Also on the tables is a bunch of snacks, all are halloween themed, made to look like eyes, bat wings and mothman shaped cookies etc., also a very large cake (just replace 40 with 22). There's places to sit as well, comfy couches and chairs and small tables near them and a dance floor in the center. Along the sides of the room are various kinds of halloween decorations like ghosts, fake blood, and most prominently in a place of honor: a large life size felt mothman with a very nice ass. Mothman is holding the happy birthday sign and has glowing red eyes.

The music playing is a variety of thumping dance music but anyone can go over and choose or put on a different track or turn it off to do some karaoke or play their own music. There's also a mix of halloween decorations, a dancing bat hanging from the spinning party light and various games. There's a row of 4 dart boards and plenty of darts along one part of a wall with chalk scoreboards, bobbing for apples, pin the bone on the skeleton, beer pong and a table full of jell-o shots, regular shots, mixed drink supplies, a punch bowl (only lightly spiked… for now) and so on.

All in all, it's a relaxed and intimate setting with the potential for more excitement. Lance had to pay a lot of paleblood stones to get the food and a lot of the stuff here, so enjoy.

[she's not wearing much in the way of makeup other than some slightly messy red glitter on her eyes, but the fitted red suit and matching mesh tank (and the glittering horns) are enough of a vibe that it's obvious (probably) she's dressed as a devil. was this suggested to her? absolutely.

she's managed to stuff her face with several pieces of cake, down a couple shots before switching to punch because she is a responsible adult and letting herself be blindfolded for another 'pin the' game, only it's bones and skeletons this time. and she's dizzy, walking carefully with a glass of punch in one hand and the bone in the other, with zero sense of direction.

that ...yeah, that must be where the skeleton is. well, that's where she's putting this bone, anyway. oops if the pin's too sharp.]


[several jello shots later (it's a lot. it's way too many. this is a terrible idea.) she's taken to the karaoke stage, far less composed than she'd been at sansa's nameday party.

a bit stumbly, she clears her throat several times to get the attention of the room, only it's not the room she really cares about. it's her pumpkin-costumed sister, who she will very seriously point at, and then move that pointing finger slightly over a bit because the floor's uneven. whatever. she's doing this. it's about the most uncool song she could sing, though she still manages to look kind of cool doing it? maybe? when she gets to the end she's super serious in the way only a drunk can be, and changing the words a little:]

And I know her name is Jinx
She's my sister
I love my fucking sister ♪

[she means every word of it. especially the ones she sings off key. and she definitely does substitute the word "shit" for the word "things". fang is recording this for "posterity".]

(even if she wishes to dart away or run away, it'd be a tad bit difficult with the costume she chose to wear. and why did she pick this particular costume? well, pumpkins seem to be the key thing so she felt it was necessary to come as one. and why are there no arm slots? because she wanted to be accurate.

but it's alright, she thinks. if she really need to use her hands, she can just peel the costume off for a moment or have her omen do things for her. either way, jinx will sit there and watch her sister make a fool of herself -- definitely getting second hand embarrassment. she doesn't know why she is whispering loudly when is she close but she does it anyway.)

[out of respect for her patron and a natural propensity for camouflage, sansa has decided to go as a red wolf, though she isn't bothered if people mistake her for a fox. her makeup is similar to what she wore at the black parade, with her forehead painted red to the tip of her nose and the rest of it white with thick black eye makeup extending from her temples down either side of her nose. instead of a half-mask, though, she's sewn cute little red felt ears and pinned them into her braids. she wears them with one of the dresses she keeps for visiting performers at the red.

she will try very hard to play the harp along with anyone else playing instruments. she's not good enough to improv yet but she has a few simple melodies memorized!! it sounds fine.

anyone unlucky enough to accompany her on a trip to the bar or bathroom is likely to be intercepted by various tableside entertainers wanting to talk to her or have her sew a loose bead or sequin on their costumes.

in the spirit of....whatever this is, she will gladly tell anyone spooky stories from the nightfort!! she will even sing a song about the rat cook.

for karaoke she will belt out an eerily accurate rendition of blank space. it's almost like she's been practicing...

wherever gifts are piled, she's left a pair of black leather fingerless gloves covered with intricate dragon scale detailing tied with a red ribbon to a card, her personal direwolf-and-weirwood branch sigil stamped on it in silver wax. it reads:

Is Halloween like the Black Parade?

[you get a sloppy drunk hug, too, sansa! don't cry. now you're going to make vi cry. she's not sure why she's crying, but she will steal someone's napkin (or jacket, it's fine) to wipe at her own eyes, and somewhat clumsily even try to wipe at yours.]

[a direct result of way too many shots is the loss of any (flimsy) filters that might exist for the guest of honor's benefit. a headtilt and a big thumbs up at the costume, jinx. it's cute and hilariously round and armless, reminding her of what cats sometimes look like when they fold themselves into little loaves and their feet disappear. have two devil may care fingerguns as she reaches you, jinx.]

It's so cute! How you gonna pick pockets in it, though? How are you gonna flip me off?

[she could punch her way through the pumpkin if she wanted. with her shimmer strength - bam bam and fuck yeah: armholes. the visualization of this teases a laugh from her, and she leans in to try and ruffle her sister's hair, misses her mark and has to try again. there. what's wrong with her? oh, that's easy:]

(she may not have arms but she has feet. and she will not hesitate to kick her sister to the freaking moon. jinx is trying to have that reputation in trench of being one of the most lethal people around. and it's very hard to grow that when her stupid big sister is behaving this way. at the hair ruffle, she growls and shakes her head violently to try and shoot her hand away from her. and in that same growl, she says:)

Sit down, now.

(ugh, since when is she their "mom" now? because that's exactly how she is feeling in this situation. there is a seat next to her and she really hopes her drunk ass sister will take it.)

Okay, okay. Jeeeeeeez. [if you're going for lethal, maybe pick a different costume, for starters. but she'll sit. she's sitting. okay, it's more of a leaning recline, but she shrugs off the growl.] I can follow an order.

I see you're a drunkin' mess. And you're expectin' me to take care of you, aren't you?

(because she is going to as much as she will deny it right now she isn't. when it's ready for them to go, she will wiggle out of this costume and help her to either the house or her treehouse. more so the treehouse so she can keep a close eye on her.)

(she says this but there are some truth to her singing. not talking to her for this long wasn't something she wanted to keep going. and honestly, she really missed her but was also too proud to say it. so jinx is glad vi was the one to step up to the plate to get their relationship back on track.

shimming closer, she leans in some to give her sister some head resting cushion of her pumpkin costume in case she needs it.)

... Make sure you get some water in you. Or food. Somethin' light.

[that's a good idea: water. ah, yes. there's a vase on the table. she plucks the flower out and deliberates a moment before tucking it behind jinx's ear and chugging that murky plantwater.

(putting the flower behind her ear, okay she expected that. maybe. but for her sister to grab the vase and drink out of it? definitely not. in fact, she is staring at vi completely horrified -- oh, if only she had arm slots to stop her. and jinx is so dumbfounded that there are no words that can lead up to what just transpire. well. there is one thing:)
