No, any kind of blood can cause it. Fighting of any kind can be very dangerous if you don't have a way of reducing your own corruption after because of that. Some seem a lot worse than others though...
There are lots of various ways. A lot of the hunters who get injured use blood transfusions under the care of the blood ministers for that... I don't really like the idea very much though, to be honest. There are various foods and items, creatures, or places that seem to reduce it though. Last year anyone with paleblood was able to make fruit into jams that would reduce corruption so people got together and made a lot... sometimes people are gifted with moon drops that can reverse even beasthood.
A friend of mine... he found some ancient lore about priests who used to create purifying tools and weapons out of those moon drops and managed to forge one himself, although it doesn't seem like an easy process and they're rare.
There was once a Sleeper who said she was a deity and... it's hard to believe, but I believe her. She planted several kinds of guardian trees that have continued to purify anything and anyone who rests under them. The salt lake, it also purifies corruption under the full moon, even if someone has become a beast. Even a creature like a dragon.
Some of us have powers from before that can help heal or remove corruption from the soul as well, or pull someone back from beasthood. Exorcists and healers. There don't seem to be many... but apparently some people can learn to use the power of their blood to help remove or reduce the corruption in someone too. A couple people have told me that.
There's a place I belong to too, called Sanctuary. It specializes in helping people with corruption, in saving those who have become beasts, and we try to collect as much as we can of something when we find out it has purifying properties. Some of the jam might taste really bad depending on who made it, but it can be what brings you back from losing yourself.
Anyone is welcome there, even if it's just to sit under the tree. They don't have to say why.
So it may seem like a lot, that it's so easy to start to become something twisted, but... There's a lot people can do to help themselves or help others that have become like that too.
I could just meet you somewhere too.
People don't need to worry around me like they would with most humans.
