[... Honestly he is not even sure why he was worried. But still, he takes a breath before pulling his hood down to reveal the PAK attached to the back of his skull here. A long metal cable slides out from a hole somewhere inside the PAK to attach to the control panel Zib had opened, and for a moment Zib's eyes seem to glaze over as several lines of code are being fed into the PAK from scanning the ship's electronics.

A robotic voice suddenly speaks up, coming from the ship itself.]

"Initiating diagnostic scan: in the event of damaged software in regards to the AI found, do you wish to include a brain scan for rebuilding the personality matrix?"

No, not right now. I'm not prepared to try to see if those brain drills are even functioning properly or if they'll just scramble my brain through my ears and across the forest floor. Just do the scan and do not turn AI autopilot on until I say so.

"Understood. Executing diagnostic code."

[And then it stays quiet, and Zib finally blinks and looks over at Ange.]

This should only take about two minutes, and then we will be able to find out just how much heavy lifting we will actually have to do here between your magic and my PAK.
