I hate it.

[May as well be honest. All of the Deerington veterans know how he felt about Sodder. Won't hurt to say it here, too.]

I told her, often as I could, I'd find a way to help her. A good friend of mine did too. We tried everything we could think of. Nothing ever worked. All I could do was tell her we were trying. We wanted to come for her - we would come for her, soon as possible.

And now I have to live with knowing I let her down.
