[Vyng's a mess: Wet, gray hair plastered to his face. Black sand clinging to his clothing and neck. Gills flaring in and out with exertion, while his expression pinches with pain. Observant Sleepers might notice pieces of wool sticking out of his pointy elven ears.]
Orpheus needs help. Eurydice, she...
[He takes a breath, giving himself a moment to collect his thoughts.]
She's moved on. Like many of us will someday.
But as soon as they separated, he turned into a large beast and flew off. Somewhere toward the Rocks, south of the Farthest Shore.
[With some shaky maneuvering, Vyng points the camera so it's overlooking the magnificent Pthumerian Ocean. In the distance, a large bird-like creature circles over the water. From offscreen, Vyng continues.]
Four wings. Antlers. Difficult to miss. His songs are like a mermaid's — I think...I think they lure people into the ocean. Be careful, everyone.
[The image lowers toward the wet sand. Vyng's last words before the feed cuts off, almost too quiet to be heard over the sea wind, filter through:]
I'm sorry.
((OOC: This is a lead-in for the Sirens Mini-Plot. Beast!Orpheus is grieving his wife and luring people to their deaths. Check here for more details and plotting.))

The man watched his wife disappear into the ocean. He lost her once already, back in their old world.
They were building a life here. He doesn't know what to do with himself anymore.

she has to do something]
That's--it's horrible. To lose the one he loves twice. And to disappear into the ocean...I assume she became a squid again, but. That would be no comfort.
I don't blame him. Not one bit.

[It's normal to grieve. Unfortunately, this place doesn't do people many favors in the mental-health department.]

[she's gotten that general impression, but at least it didn't cause her to rage endlessly like the other place had]

He's been dealing with some heavy stuff. All way back to the Dream, and before that too. Beneath all that optimism, he's got some serious tortured-artist vibes.

[A pause.]
I'm Vyng, by the way.

[she sighs and looks distraught]
It's--well, I'd say it was a pleasure, Vyng. But the circumstances are hardly pleasing. I'm Tinya.

[Spoken genuinely.]
Orpheus is lucky to have a friend like you on his side. Take care of yourself out there, alright? And good luck.

[she smiles a bit, as much as she feels comfortable smiling under the current circumstances]
I will. I only hope that I can help at least a little bit. And, good luck to you, too.
