Is there a reason why my house is covered in paper? I assume there is a purpose to this other than a gross misuse of resources and time. If you have any issues with me, I much prefer a discussion than a clean up job.

[ he swats some of the butterflies away before sighing. ]

[ It hadn't occurred to Anakin to keep it vague, but he's still figuring out what's a secret and what's not. Leia Organa is known more as Bail Organa's daughter than as Anakin Skywalker's, for obvious reasons.

He's not bad at keeping secrets, but it's hard when you don't know which ones to keep. Or why. ]

My mom told me a lot about him, but I didn't realize he was that directly involved in the Rebellion. It'd be nice to learn more about him, though. Things my mom couldn't have known about.

[ Though that just leaves Obi-Wan. Trying to talk to Padme about Bail and find some weird roundabout reason to ask her seems disingenuous if she doesn't know the truth.

He'll have to think on that one. ]

[Anakin had never met him, Ezra realizes, with a jolt. Had Senator Organa even lived to see the fall of the Empire, he wonders? Surely he would have told Luke and Leia they were twins, if he were around to do that. Although maybe that was just...being separated by circumstances, and a continued need for secrecy.]

There's definitely some stuff I can only...guess at? Like, I know he and Ahsoka Tano worked together for a long time, doing lots of really careful intelligence work and setting up mostly independent cells. Hera Syndulla - captain of the Ghost and basically my foster mom - would get tips and missions from them, but it was all under codenames and such.

It was Senator Organa and Ahsoka's decision, at least in part, to send other cells to help us out when Kanan was captured. Because...we'd managed to get out a broadcast, on a wide band of channels, speaking out against the Empire. We, as in the rest of the Specters, that is. And following that up with a visible victory against Moff Tarkin above Vader's stronghold on Mustufar-

It was a chance for things to snowball in a good way.

[ Anakin tries to place the other names. He wishes he could say something like "I know Hera Syndulla-- she's retired on a nice planet and raising a bunch of lothcats." It would be nice, but it would be a lie.

Ahsoka seems like a major player, but he's never heard of her either. ]

Who's Ahsoka Tano?

[ Is she a senator, like Bail? Or a rebel pilot, like Hera? ]

[Anakin doesn't know who she is? Even if she'd been adamant in not joining the new Order, because she left the old one, surely she'd want to meet Anakin Skywalker's children?]

...she was your namesake's padawan. Master Kenobi had a hand in teaching her too, of course.

And she was one of my teacher's in the ways of the Force, as well.

[ Anakin is clearly surprised. He supposes he shouldn't be-- a master taking on a padawan isn't uncommon. But, knowing how he is now, Anakin can't imagine his grandfather having the patience to be a teacher.

As for never meeting her, Anakin can only assume that she didn't know, wasn't interested, or had perished. ]

I never knew he had a padawan. What's she like?

[ He consciously uses the present tense when talking about her. As if hoping she's still out there, somewhere. ]

Incredibly brave. And not afraid to admit when she didn't have the answers, either.

[The corner of his mouth twists.]

...sad. But then all the survivors of the Purge were. She was always, uh, very fond of me? Like, in a way that made me wonder if I reminded her of someone she missed? But I never asked. It was nice to just...see and feel her brighten up, and I didn't want to ruin it somehow.

She fought with this really unique jar'kai style, with a reverse grip. Two white sabers.

[ Anakin rests his chin against his hand, the picture of an attentive listener. He tries to imagine Ahsoka, but all he has is a shadowy image of a young woman. It's a shame. Another thread tying his family to the time before the Empire is cut.

(He tries not to think about it all too much. Maybe she never knew what her Master became. Maybe she was saved that pain, at least.) ]

You never know. She might show up, and you'll have your chance to ask her.

[He shrugs.] Maybe.

I do have a holo of her, if you ever want to see it. And of some of the rest of my family and friends. Not Senator Organa, because wow, Op Sec issue. Known Rebels without distinguishable locations, only.

[ Anakin shrugs. ]

I've seen holos of him. My mom has a bunch, and she's shown us all of them.

[ A faint smile. ] But I'd like to see your family. Put faces to the names. I have a holo of my own, though it's a little old.

[He smiles back.]

I'd like that, too. Obviously, I have to help clean this mess up, but maybe this evening? Tomorrow?
