[ there's a house covered in toilet paper with a very tired jedi standing in front of it, just massaging his temple. ]

Is there a reason why my house is covered in paper? I assume there is a purpose to this other than a gross misuse of resources and time. If you have any issues with me, I much prefer a discussion than a clean up job.

[ he swats some of the butterflies away before sighing. ]

I'll be here. Tidying up.

[He opens an eye, to squint in Obi-wan's direction, with a crooked grin.]

Well, influenced by the Moon Presence is part of my abilities, now.

[A heavy, mischievous beat of silence.]...That I'm currently making good use of.

[jedies]

I suppose that's good enough.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Oh so, cheerfully-] Glad to hear it!

[Ok, now he needs to recenter and focus, again.]

[jedies]

[ obi-wan shakes his head to himself as he observes quietly. ]

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Ezra stretches his senses back out in to the Force. Obi-wan, with him. Trees. House. Paper.

And then something snags his attention. The flicker of a bright mind, not the physical things he's been trying to focus on - but he almost wants to say they're looking for him, which might explain why it pinged to him, which in turn makes him worry if they're in trouble or something, so he chases that wisp of a presence-

Wait.

His head snaps up, and his eyes fly open.]

...Ahsoka?

[jedies]

[ obi-wan freezes, his expression going slack. ]

— What?

[ezra_of_lothal]

I felt her.

[He sits down, expression determined, and closes his eyes again, to go searching for her, mentally.]

There's been...weird portals around town. She might not be here, exactly.

[jedies]

[ he frowns a little at that, though it doesn't seem directed at ezra. ]

I see.

[ezra_of_lothal]

One thing I am very good at is mental connections. Especially to find family.

[He found Kanan, clear across a stellar system, with Darth Vader nearby, over the pit of Darkness that was Mustafar. At 15, he hadn't really had the training to grasp how nearly impossible that should have been.

He has a better idea now.]

[jedies]

[ his expression goes quiet for a moment. ]

I haven't seen mine in years.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[His eyes open again, not liking the inflection in Obi-wan's tone, and not quite sure what the words mean. He hasn't seen his version of Ahsoka in years? Family in general?

But Ezra knows that's not the same as a Temple full of Jedi.)

Towards the slender strand of connection in Ahsoka's direction he pushes, the feeling, as much as the words:

I'm coming. Wait for a while if you can.]

Obi-wan?

[jedies]

[ he smiles faintly, giving a loose shake of his head. he's dwelling and he knows it. but he finds it coming over him from time to time. ]

I'm all right. Just something I'm unaccustomed to.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Hmmmm. Yeah, that mood seems familiar, in a not great way.

Hesitantly-]

Do you...want see if we can talk to her? Even if it's only for a moment?

[jedies]

[ no. and he doubts she would want to. ]

All things in their own time. I best not interfere with portals.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Ezra frowns.]

Well. Wouldn't be the first time she and I have found each other across portals through time and space.

And...the last time I saw her, I asked her to find me. And she said she would.

[She might get really stubborn, if he doesn't tell her he doesn't think that this is where she's meant to bring him home from, is his thought.]

[jedies]

Then you should greet her.

But I don't think it is my place.

[ezra_of_lothal]

...she would talk about you. [He climbs back to his feet.]

When I went to track down the contemporary version of you was while she was missing, so I don't know what she would have-

[He stops and sighs.]

If you're sure.

[jedies]

Good things, I hope.

[ his voice is light, but he doesn't feel like it. ]

But I'm sure. Thank you.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Padme recently told him more about why Ahsoka left the Order. He knows Obi-wan was on the Council. He can connect some dots.

Earnestly-] Good things, yes. And she did want to talk to Master Yoda when we told her we'd stumbled into a way to do that. You were kinda the next name on her list of masters she was wishing she could ask for answers.

[But he's taking steps away and back, taking Obi-wan at his word.]

[jedies]

[ answers about what, he wonders. but it's useless to think about. ]

I see.

[ezra_of_lothal]

[Yeah, that didn't help, he can tell.]

I'll be back. [He gestures around.] And I'll help finish this.
