005 Video: UN: Cuddlebunny

[When the video starts, Usagi is pulling on her fingers and biting her lip. She has some bag under her eyes because of the coming and going nightmares but she looks fine otherwise.

She takes a deep breath, opens her mouth and then presses her lips together, clearly trying to psyche herself up rather than, well, out. She clenches her fist and a soft "you can do this, you can totally do this," can easily be heard under her breath.

One more nod and then:]

SO I AM- [She winces, nope, no, yelling bad. Deep breath.

Take two.]

Um, so hello! [She bows to the Omni.] Uh, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Usagi Tsukino. [She bows again.] Um... and uh, well I am starting a business! Uh... that is I can make things- er jewelry! And other things like incense holders and Omni charms or bag charms... or like... clay figurines, I guess.

I have a lot of things already made but otherwise everything will be custom made. [She's too nervous to remember to actually show her products though they are currently sitting behind her if asked.]

So... um- oh, yeah, everything is mostly clay, I can't sew like... at all, so... um... just putting that out there. [Hot glue guns are a gift from the heavens, as far as she's concerned.] I can do other materials like shells and metal but most everything is gonna be clay.

Uuuuh yes! Right, that's it!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME! [She bows again. Turns out nightmare induced insomnia causes her to get crafty so as to not think of said nightmares.]

[Being best friends with one: Darth Maul, and having encountered Darth Vader and lived (well, honestly, when she talked with Darth Vader, he was perfectly fine but that was neither here nor there), Usagi recognized the name "Darth" for what it was. So, this was another Sith, huh? He seemed... nice? But she recognizes the bright yellow eyes as well. She smiles brightly.]

Sure! What did you have in mind?

[It might surprise her to know that the yellow eyes are a genetic trait and not due to the dark side.]

Can you do bracelets?

Oh, absolutely! What did you have in mind?

[He shows a rough drawing of something he thought of.]

[ he's still too tired to do much with anyone, but he musters it up for usagi's sake. ]

Congratulations. You must be very proud.

[Her smile brightens at the sight of Obi-Wan, she nods.]

Mnn! I'm really nervous to be honest. I've never done anything like this before. But I've had a lot of encouragement about it and it's safer than being a Nightwalker. [Which was the issue that she kept getting harassed and attacked.]

Trying something for the first time is always admirable.

Not at all, I can do both no problem! I'll need you to come in so I can measure your wrist for the first one if you don't want a hinge on it. What colors were you thinking?

Mnn! I guess we'll see how it goes. Can I make you something?[She knows Jedi don't do much in the way of possessions, but maybe she can make him something small and simple and out of the way.]

[jedies]

[ obi-wan pauses. ]

Actually there is one thing and I am happy to pay your way for a commission. If you could fashion me a small stone out of this cerulean colour, I would be grateful.

Do you want it as a necklace or bracelet or something else?

[jedies]

I wouldn't be suited for those, unfortunately.

Just the stone would be lovely, thank you.

How big would you like the stone? Something longer than your pinkie or shorter than that?

Slightly smaller than the palm of my hand, if possible.

For you, I will absolutely make it possible, Obi-Wan.

Thank you. Someone very close to me was fond of that colour. And a stone feels right to hold in my hand.

It might take me a couple of weeks to find it but I'll have to you before the end of the month. [Admittedly, since he only wants the stone, this is more or less shopping and less crafting on her part, though she may need to sand it and polish it depending on the seller. But for Obi-Wan? She absolutely doesn't mind. She already has in mind who to go talk to for it.]

I'd love to hear about them if you feel up to telling me. Doesn't have to be now. Just whenever.

. . . I can't recall if I spoke to you of Satine. Did I?

[lightthedarkness]

[She shakes her head.] No, I don't think so? The name doesn't sound familiar.

[jedies]

She was the duchess of Mandalore. Long ago, I helped her thwart a civil war on her planet. She helped bring it back to one of peace and prosperity. She hated violence, even when she knew it could be necessary. She was pragmatic, but never expected anything more from anyone that she could not give.

She was always kind even when stern. Independent in all, except when it came to her people. She gave them all.

She sounds incredible. And choosing to never use violence is really admirable.

I can understand why people would follow her with the way you talk about her leadership. [Usagi is not book smart but she is people smart, this woman clearly meant ENOUGH to Obi-Wan that he not only remembers her fondly but that he wants something that reminds him of her.

She wonders if she should ask "what happened?" He mentioned a civil war, and kept using past tense to talk about her. She can guess but some part of her wants to let Obi-Wan just have the positive right now.]

Was she ever stern with you? [She hopes it's a light enough question that brings fond memories to the forefront.]

Oh, all the time. We never agreed on anything and we fought a great deal. But at the same, we were always connected. And even though we chose not to be together due to our own commitments, we still cared deeply for each other.

[He flashes a smile that's sincere, but also tired and worn. He wouldn't probably wouldn't admit it, but he'd been running close to his emotional limits before the nightmares kicked up extra hard.]

Is that stuff you've made, uh, behind you? [See? Helping!]

[So, uhh...please do excuse the bits of medical tape and bandages on Ochako's face and other parts of her. Seems that constant spelunking is catching up with her. Oh, and helping people with their, erm...problems. Nightmares, gh-gh...gh--...THAT STUFF, and other issues, those most of her minor scrapes and bruises are from what lurks in the caverns below.]

I'd love to have maybe a necklace or bracelet sometime...can I see what you make? I bet it's beautiful!!
