My original plans were tailored to my world of origin, thus, since I've vacated my place there, I see no point in carrying them over to this world. And I've rather been enjoying it. Outside of people losing themselves to their own rage this month.

However, I do have a specific set of skills which lend themselves to this world: I was a medical researcher in genetics and in virology in my world of origin. I've had to adapt to a world with technology from two hundred years before my birth and with magic, whereas I came from a place which lacked true magic. But I'm adaptable. I've had to be, to survive my world. And this one.

it was rough washing up solo, but I got a good gig and then a few months later the other half of the band showed up, sooooo it all worked out! same thing different place, except now we're dating and running the raccoon room :)

A little bit of everything, really?
When I got here I was in Julia Sodder's dream and for the most part I feel like I tried to fit in and do exactly what I did back at home.
And it felt like it was working at first but it really sort of clashed because... Well I guess I might have tried too hard or pushed myself just well beyond what was reasonable.

I've tried to switch up and do a few different things but it's been something I enjoy doing or something related to what I did back at home.

All and all I'm happy with the changes I've made here. But it's been a huge adjustment getting there.

I pretty much kept the same dream. I wanted to go to school and learn about the world and how everything works, and now I'm going to school in the Gaze! There's such a big library there I feel like I could learn forever and never run out of new things!

My ambitions from home hold little meaning her. The people I was after, the justice I was seeking...it could only be found there. Though I suppose I haven't changed some of my general habits since coming here. I still am a studious person, and the Archives are a draw for that reason.

Not knowing how long we might be here, what purpose there is in being brought here in the first place...There are answers I want, and obtaining them is my current goal.

I'm offering this as an anecdotal view, should it help you. I wouldn't be someone you'd consider a peer.
