[Kazuma is obviously in the Archives. The looming shelves, claustrophobic framing, and dim lighting is more than enough to give that away. There are open tomes around him, but he isn't reading any of them; instead, he's considering the camera with a quizzical look, chin in his hand as he leans on the table he's at.]

Before the patrons of this place decide to plague us with more of the same, I have a mundane question for all of you.

We have many places we can choose to make our homes here. I am currently in Crenshaw, previously in Willful Machine...I moved with someone I know well. The point being, there are reasons we choose these places, correct?

What drew you to yours? What merits does it have to have others consider it? Is it because of people you know, or something else?

[He sighs and drums his fingers on the tabletop.] I just never really gave my own lodging much thought...I am wondering if most of us settle where it is convenient, or if we find other reasons to gravitate to where we end up.

Oh? Do we not have enough?

[He laughs a little to himself.]

You do have a fair point. [A pause.] At least the townhome doesn't seem to need as much help.

I had mentioned that we have more in the way of books than actual furniture, and that was his suggestion.

[Lamps are not furniture, and there-in is the humor.]

It is rather comfortable, as far as homes here go. Perhaps we should do more to make it feel more lived in?

Ah. [Yes he sees the humour.] More lamps it is.

[He chuckles.]

You do have a point. Right now it looks like an unorganized library... what would you recommend?

Lamps and books. We will have little else in our home.

[What a home that would make.]

I honestly don't know. I didn't have much in my room back in London if I'm honest. And Mikotoba furnished his home simply.

Manabu asked what signified home for me, but I...didn't have much of an answer for him.

We could take a page out of Mr. Sholmes' book. Maybe not as eclectic as his home was, but it certainly felt lived in and welcoming.

[There's a bit of a pause, and he's glad he's not on video at the moment as his expression changes.]

What signifies home... I'm not sure I have an answer for that either. [He says quietly.] Maybe it's something we'll discover together.

Eclectic is certainly a word for his choices in...decoration. But I think having more than the bare minimalism we have now would be a start.

[Kazuma is a fool and keeps to video because that's how he's started this thing. So he does his best to keep his own expression schooled into something that is merely pensive.]

I made an attempt...I think I may have thrown him off with what I came up with. [He really needs to just...shut his mouth.] I--Yes, that would be nice, I think.

All right. What do you think we should add to our home?

[Becasue whether they like it or not, this place was now home.]

Oh? What did you say? [He's curious.]

Seating might be a good idea. If it's practically a library, we should have places to do our reading comfortably.

[Anything would be better than the floor or isolating in their own room.]

Ah. [Welp.] That the last time I had to think of that was when I was leaving for England. And I asked you to join me. [Look, he mentioned it once. And lying or omitting it now would only serve to dig himself a very deep hole.]

I guess we'll have to see what's around. Having some more seating than what we have wouldn't be so bad.

[Listen the floor isn't something they're entirely unfamiliar thing.]

Kazuma... [Oh Kazuma. ] I still think you were crazy to ask me to go with you.

Perhaps drag Manabu along as we venture out to see what we can find? We may well make use of his expert advice.

[Or make him combust in one way or another, who knows.]

...It was a brilliant plan for something thought up rather last minute. [...] If I had asked you sooner, perhaps we could have arranged for you to go officially. I could have told you everything...

That sounds like a wonderful idea.

[It would be nice to go out with the two of them.]

We've had this conversation before. I still think it was crazy. [He chuckles lightly.] I know. I know you would have told me if you were able to.

[He believes that.]

If we make it seem like a job, we could trick him into taking a break that way.

[Look. He's being "helpful"?]

I would have...if things had not gone the way they did, I would have told you.

Kazuma! [But he's laughing, partially because it's true.] I'm sure he'll take a break to help us.

I know. I believe that you would have. [Fate was unfortunately cruel, and he had to learn about it a different way.] Let's not focus on the past. We have furniture to find.

He'll throw himself into it wholeheartedly and you know it. [Is it really much of a break if Manabu somehow turns it into work? Who knows.]

Ah, right. We can throw around sentimentality when we have things such notions can collect dust on. [And that can immediately get damaged in those future floods these two have no idea are coming. RIP new-old furniture.]
