006 Video; UN: Cuddlebunny

[Usagi is dressed head to toe in her pink winter jacket, cute (also pink) fuzzy earmuffs (that are shaped like rabbits which should not surprise anyone who has known her for more than five minutes), and mittens... which are also also pink.

She looks like a giant fluffy ball of cotton candy, to be honest. Her face is red and there is a bandaid on her nose and forehead. Why? Well, it might have something to do with the fact that she is also completely surrounded by ice.

Literally, it's everywhere, floor to ceiling. Ice palace for one except it's a Victorian manor and the cold, does, in fact, bother her.]

Uuuuummmmmm [Her breath forms in front of her mouth and she sighs.] Soooooo I have a problem, not like a VIOLENCE problem, thankfully, which, I didn't think I would have to, like, clarify but last month was... interesting. But uh...

[She moves her Omni around to show her ice palace.]

So, one minute, I somehow have ice powers [She makes wooshy fingers with her mittens and gestures to the current state of her living room.] And the next I'm back to glowing under the moonlight and also FREEZING COLD.

So... uh, since I rather NOT use a flamethrower to thaw all of this or deal with a flood in my house... um, help? Please? Please please please! [She will make being a frozen rabbit everyone's problem if this doesn't go away.]

You're welcome to any of the stuff I make or I can take you out for lunch or we can work something out. But I don't know how to ice skate and even my floor is frozen AND IT'S REALLY COLD every time I fall! And like, you'd think, oh it's ice, it'd help with the swelling, but no, no you'd be wrong, it still hurts!

Also, is this happening to anyone else? Can we change blood types? Has anyone done that?

Also also, any and all suggestions to PUNCH the ice [She has a few specific people in mind who might make this recommendation.] will not be listened to.

Let's keep it to him, then.

[ Look, food is a good idea too, but it comes just a little bit too close to things that use fire - like cooking food, and all that.

Better to avoid any and all associations with that. ]

The more you focus on him, the less you think about what just happened. And I doubt thinking about him is going to suddenly trigger any sort of elemental outburst. [ H-Hopefully?? ]

His birthday is the 3rd. [Her smile became a bit more somber and her eyes seemed to suddenly burn. She took a deep breath, forcing her smile to be bigger.]

Have I told you about Mamo-chan? I think I have but I'm never sure who I've told.

Yeah. [ She hums. ] A little bit.

[ Ange is pretty certain she doesn't know all of it. All she knows is how important he is to Usagi. How much she loves him. That feels like the most important thing. ]

You can talk to me about him right now though, if you want.

[ If not just to get Usagi's thoughts off the accidental disasters she's causing here. And maybe talking about him a little will be relieving too for Usagi. ]

He... he's so amazing ya know? [She immediately goes to fidgeting with her ring, but she can't because it's under her mittens.]

He's smart and kind and good with people and kids and animals, I can't think of a single person who doesn't like him. People look at him and they wonder about ME next to him, ya know? [She smiled at that.] He wants to be a doctor, to help even more people. And he's so smart he got into Harvard, he could go to any university he wants, Tokyo U, Kyoto U, Oxford, Cambridge... but he's not arrogant. He doesn't rub it in your face. He's patient and sweet.

[Her smile becomes smaller and smaller as she thinks about him, her eyes are burning and she doesn't even stop the tears as they fall.]

You feel listened to, at all times. Even on silly stupid things that are big to you but no one else. He doesn't think it's stupid or childish the things you like or the things you don't like, he doesn't call you a brat or anything like that because you absolutely refuse to eat carrots and can't be argued with on the matter. [She snorts in amusement as she remembers one conversation they had and it ended with him teasing her about how the only way he'd get her to eat carrots was if he ate them first so his kisses would taste like carrots, only to relent when she began crying at the idea of carrot-flavored-Mamoru-kisses.]

Even here, I know everyone would find it hard to dislike him. Even some of the bigger jerks in this place, they'd like him.

[ It's not too surprising that Usagi starts crying, even if it does tug on Ange's heartstrings. Of course Usagi would cry while thinking about someone so important to her. Ange respectfully stays quiet, listening to the other all the way - and even then holding herself back from commenting anything on that last part, since she's pretty sure there are some people in this place who don't seem to like anyone. ]

He sounds great.

[ Ange's voice is soft, and - definitely by her standards - gentle. How could she treat Usagi in any other way when she's such an important friend to her, and when the other is obviously so emotional? ]

What is you guys' favourite kind of date..?

[ Even though she usually can't tolerate talk that's too sappy, she can at least let Usagi talk about that as well. Even if it might hurt for Usagi, Ange thinks that - at the same time - it's good to remember people that important. And to especially remember the happy moments you've had with them. ]

He's super romantic. [She sniffles and wipes her cheeks, what tears she doesn't catch turn into small beads of ice and tinker onto the floor.] He doesn't like big or noisy places like theme parks, he prefers walks under the stars or a classical music concert. [It's not all that shocking that the ultimate extrovert has an introverted lover.]

He'll look up meteor showers and take us someplace without too much light to watch it. We'll watch eclipses together or sit under cherry blossom trees and just talk to each other for hours.

But if I wanted to go to a theme park, or a festival, or shopping, or any of that he'd come in a heartbeat, without making it feel like he was forced to go. Honestly, if we're together that's what we both like best. We both love to dance and could dance for hours, he's amazing at it, ya know? On top of so much else he's good at. We'll go to museums and I don't usually understand but he explains it so I can so we can share in it together.

He knows how much I love to eat, so when we go to a restaurant, he always gets large portions so I can try it too. Or he'll get the same dessert as me so I can have it twice.

He... [She's completely in tears now and the tear tracks have frozen along her cheeks, she sniffles and scrubs her eyes.] He wouldn't want me so unhappy and missing him so much.

.. yeah.

[ Ange's answer is soft, coupled with a nod. ]

But.. you know? With the way you're describing him right now, I'm sure he'd understand that you would miss him a lot. [ After all, if he's so understanding about everything else, why wouldn't he be about this? If they love each other so much, then either of them would surely have such an ache in their heart while being apart. ] And that just maybe.. you need to cry a little and let it out sometimes. It's better than cropping it all up and just hurting yourself.

[ Thanks, Ange. Talk about a pot calling the kettle black there. ]

[She wipes her eyes, wincing as she pulls her handkerchief frozen tears from her cheeks. She scrubs her eyes.]

I have to be careful, if I start crying, it may be a long time before I stop. [Because it's always there, the hole where the lack of Mamoru's presence sits. Like back in October when his zombified corpse followed her around, a regret, a constant regret of choosing Trench over going back home to him, praying she didn't really fuck it up and that she'll never see him again.

She is surprised she isn't constantly maintaining low-level corruption with how much she misses him and longs for his presence. But she supposes since she talks about him so much and has the girls to ground her, that it's not as bad as it was a year before.]

Maybe you should ask one of your friends for a hug.

[ Not that Ange wouldn't provide it herself, if Usagi really wanted it. If the other asked her, Ange would get up right now and go over to where she is. She does care that much about Usagi.

But she's sure there's got to be someone else closer by her right now to ask for it. ]

You know, so you can cry against them for a little while. I'm sure none of them would mind that. And if there's no one else.. you could hug me.

I might turn them into friendsicles at this rate, or worse, set them on fire. I know they wouldn't mind but I don't want to do that to them either. [It's a level of hell, wanting to hug but scared she might someone on fire or freeze them.]

It's okay, thank you though, Ange-chan. I really appreciate the offer. Would take you up on it if I could be sure I wasn't going to hurt you.

Well.. [ Her voice trails off.

Ange sounds a little uncertain. Perhaps hesitant. It's not like she wants to get burned or frozen, after all, but on the other hand - with Usagi actually crying, and seeming so sad, it's hard to not want to offer all the same. It's not like it'd be the first time Ange put a friend's wellbeing in front of her own, after all. ]

Actually, I think I'm slowly starting to get a bit of healing magic. So even if that were to happen, I might be able to take care of it. [ Especially if Usagi may have a harder time accessing her own powers with what's currently going on. ]

I just don't want you to be alone right now.

You get increasingly incredible every time we talk, Ange-chan, you know that?

I won't say no to the company, but fair warning, bring your warmest winter coat.

[ If Usagi isn't saying no to the company, then that's the most important part.

.. e-even if the other is giving her a flustering compliment there. But Ange is doing her best. Trying to endure it like a trooper, even if it makes her blush. ]

I-I'll be right there. [ No, that wasn't a flustered stammer! You heard nothing! ] You don't even have to get up to open the door. Unless there's some sort of ward on your house, anyway.

[ Because it would truly be unfortunate to try to use her magic to enter, just so Usagi doesn't have to accidentally freeze the front door as well, only to slam into a wall.

It'd be embarrassing as hell, for one. ]

Ah that's good cause, uum, I can't. Move that is. And no wards, no, not against friends. [Though, she's not sure if Rei's wards can even be maintained if Rei isn't here.]
