(VIDEO) — UN: BOMBSHELL

(the video begins of a zoom up of a pair of eyes. an animal to be exact. they blink curiously before it gets pulled back -- revealing it's a spider monkey holding the omni. he holds it up above him and even turns it upside-down and other various angles. hopefully the lovely people aren't easily to become motion sickness upon viewing this but if they do, their own fault really.)

(there's a voice coming from off camera; familiar to some or not. but the monkey looks off to the direction of the voice before turning the omni over so whoever is watching can now see jinx sitting in a chair -- slouching with her arm hanging over the top railing. there's a grin that slowly grows on her face, however, it's not... exactly a friendly kind. impish? troubling? dangerous? you'd be the judge. nevertheless, jinx hunches over now with both her arms drape over her knees -- looking directly at the omni.)

So! — Greetings people of.... whatever this place is. Kiiiinda forgot the name but not really important. I've been hearin' a lotta here and there that I've been here before. Don't really remember it, though. (a brief pause as she thinks.) Except the last time. I remember the last time but not the other times.

Buuuuuuuuut ♪! Since I've been here a whoooole BUNCH of times that means I gotta have some friends here, right?

(she bites her bottom lip to hold back a giggle as the video suddenly wavers around. but quickly it straightens up and focus with a closer look of jinx (it seems she's the one holding it now) in a bird's eye view. her spider monkey climbs on her body then curling himself along her shoulder and neck while also looking up at the feed along with her.)

So if ya know me, contact me. OH! And you got like, thirty minutes to convince me why my former self even bothered wasting my breath on you. Don't keep me waitin' too long 'cuz I get bored easily.

(a beat.)

ACTUALLY, NEVERMIND!!! — Decided to change it to twenty minutes. (her spider monkey seems to be screeching in laughter at jinx's sudden time change but resumes on nuzzling it's head against her cheek.)

OH OH! One more big thing. There's someone here by the name of Vi. If you know her, contact me too. So we can aaaaalll be friends and get along. No shame in that, right?

(she says this but there's something about that smile that really makes it... off putting. regardless though, jinx hums quietly as she cocks her head to the side.)

It's creepier when they try to test you by putting you in a room that will fill up with blood unless you put all the months on the wall in the right order.

They have lessons at the School of Mutter. I take them in the evenings after work. It helps me to keep track of everything we're expected to know.

[she takes a lot of other lessons with other people, but this seems like a good place to start.]

I can see how it would be useful to practice with captive Beasts, but I doubt the people rounding up Beasts to imprison are much concerned with training. Besides, our people seem to get along well enough after a few shifts at the Outpost.

Yes, well, I think the Moss King summoned all the blood. It wasn't even someone horrible's, so there wasn't any reason to dance. And it was very hard to get all of it out of my things, afterward. I had to walk around the catacombs with bloody hose on my feet.

It would be very funny to see the Queen Regent up to her neck in blood, though. But I'd rather just have her gone.

[yeah that. and vi doesn't even know what to say to all of that. that is a ...lot. it tells her more than silco did, maybe more than jinx had at the end of everything, too.]

(her heart skips in her chest but not necessarily in a bad way. the only one who ever expressed jinx as close to a human was silco. beyond him, all of zaun and piltover treated her as a menace, terrorist, a heathen, a loose cannon. and again, she is fine with those things. jinx enjoys living up to those name-callings, honestly. but... it's nice to hear someone out here in this cruel world believes she is a person. and maybe one day, she'll even bathe in that sheer thought and pretend.

there's a small to her; small and saddening but it's there still. her sister is really trying so damn hard to make amends with her and making all of this... work. to untangle all the knots out of an enormous ball of yarn. they have such a long way to go and she wishes she could rush it and have it be done with. but she knows the only way is to take her time with it. and vi must know that too.)

[time. she doesn't know if there would ever be enough time to sort this out - and that some parts maybe can't be fully sorted - but isn't that life? and she wants to try, even if it's messy, and how can it be anything but messy? it's a snarl that's grown so big, lies tangled in truths tangled in assumptions and pride and suspicions all caught up with trauma on both sides.

vi wishes they could rush it, too. she has to remind herself that's ...not how to do this. this is going to be slow and steady and messy and with probably more than a few backslides. some of that's on trench. but fuck it.]
