(VIDEO) — UN: BOMBSHELL

(the video begins of a zoom up of a pair of eyes. an animal to be exact. they blink curiously before it gets pulled back -- revealing it's a spider monkey holding the omni. he holds it up above him and even turns it upside-down and other various angles. hopefully the lovely people aren't easily to become motion sickness upon viewing this but if they do, their own fault really.)

(there's a voice coming from off camera; familiar to some or not. but the monkey looks off to the direction of the voice before turning the omni over so whoever is watching can now see jinx sitting in a chair -- slouching with her arm hanging over the top railing. there's a grin that slowly grows on her face, however, it's not... exactly a friendly kind. impish? troubling? dangerous? you'd be the judge. nevertheless, jinx hunches over now with both her arms drape over her knees -- looking directly at the omni.)

So! — Greetings people of.... whatever this place is. Kiiiinda forgot the name but not really important. I've been hearin' a lotta here and there that I've been here before. Don't really remember it, though. (a brief pause as she thinks.) Except the last time. I remember the last time but not the other times.

Buuuuuuuuut ♪! Since I've been here a whoooole BUNCH of times that means I gotta have some friends here, right?

(she bites her bottom lip to hold back a giggle as the video suddenly wavers around. but quickly it straightens up and focus with a closer look of jinx (it seems she's the one holding it now) in a bird's eye view. her spider monkey climbs on her body then curling himself along her shoulder and neck while also looking up at the feed along with her.)

So if ya know me, contact me. OH! And you got like, thirty minutes to convince me why my former self even bothered wasting my breath on you. Don't keep me waitin' too long 'cuz I get bored easily.

(a beat.)

ACTUALLY, NEVERMIND!!! — Decided to change it to twenty minutes. (her spider monkey seems to be screeching in laughter at jinx's sudden time change but resumes on nuzzling it's head against her cheek.)

OH OH! One more big thing. There's someone here by the name of Vi. If you know her, contact me too. So we can aaaaalll be friends and get along. No shame in that, right?

(she says this but there's something about that smile that really makes it... off putting. regardless though, jinx hums quietly as she cocks her head to the side.)

Tick-tock, tick-tock.

Anyone who knows Vi could include any enemies she's made. Would you want to be their friend?

If I know her enemies then I can learn all about 'em.

(a soft hum and then:)

So you hoped to gather information rather than just make friends.

[ Which is said more with respect than judgement, at least.

He shakes his head though when he goes to answer. ]

Nice to finally meetcha, Sassy! I'm Jinx. And it stands for Jinx in case you're wondering.

[ A DEEP BREATH. Why is it always this nickname, what did he do to deserve it??? ]

You two are friends from the same world, I take it?

[opheliac]

Ooooh, we're waaay more than just typical friends.

[retsuden]

I don't know what that means.

[opheliac]

Awww, c'mon. It's no fun if you're not gonna guess. 'Least pretend or somethin'.

I've already told you. For fun! Y'know, life can be a reeeaaaal blast if you just let it and lighten up. Let the fireworks fizzle once in a while.

"Lighten up" seems to be a favorite phrase in this place. I guess you'll find friends quickly.

[ There's a pause because he could just hang up and not try to guess, but he's CURIOUS NOW okay. He lets out a huff of frustration. This is what happens when you barely understand typical friendship. ]

[ Did he even try ]

... Rivals.

(so with that, she stalls a little. because before coming here and before restoring into a squid, they were on their way to being rivals. and are they still this now? there's no shimmer or crystal so the two of them have no reason to fight, right?

this is a new life, a new world for them to forgive and forget. but... can she? they agreed to start over but the wounds still fresh despite it being years. she is still bleeding all over the stage as she's faking her pain. so here jinx sits with her thumbnail between her teeth -- thinking.)

(she decides on this answer. 'you got this, we got this'. this is a fresh start and she's going to go down that path alongside her. and jinx can only hope down this road vi won't leave her for dead like before.)

[retsuden]

[ That response was more interesting to him than anything else thus far, and he wants to all bullshit, but he knows the complexities of having rivals, even ones where rivalry is hopefully behind you. He watches the feed for a second after quietly. ]

I give up then. I barely understand typical friendships.

[ That explains the reaction to rivals better than anything ever could. Sasuke nods. ]

I didn't know she had a sister. [ A pause in which he realizes that might sound really bad. ] We haven't talked much about our personal lives.

[opheliac]

Really? Well, that's a first. 'Cuz it seems like she's been blabberin' all about me to the Princess from how I'm seein' it.

(a shrug though.)

But yeah, thaaat's me! Good ol' lil' sis who carries all the brains.
