(VIDEO) — UN: BOMBSHELL

(the video begins of a zoom up of a pair of eyes. an animal to be exact. they blink curiously before it gets pulled back -- revealing it's a spider monkey holding the omni. he holds it up above him and even turns it upside-down and other various angles. hopefully the lovely people aren't easily to become motion sickness upon viewing this but if they do, their own fault really.)

(there's a voice coming from off camera; familiar to some or not. but the monkey looks off to the direction of the voice before turning the omni over so whoever is watching can now see jinx sitting in a chair -- slouching with her arm hanging over the top railing. there's a grin that slowly grows on her face, however, it's not... exactly a friendly kind. impish? troubling? dangerous? you'd be the judge. nevertheless, jinx hunches over now with both her arms drape over her knees -- looking directly at the omni.)

So! — Greetings people of.... whatever this place is. Kiiiinda forgot the name but not really important. I've been hearin' a lotta here and there that I've been here before. Don't really remember it, though. (a brief pause as she thinks.) Except the last time. I remember the last time but not the other times.

Buuuuuuuuut ♪! Since I've been here a whoooole BUNCH of times that means I gotta have some friends here, right?

(she bites her bottom lip to hold back a giggle as the video suddenly wavers around. but quickly it straightens up and focus with a closer look of jinx (it seems she's the one holding it now) in a bird's eye view. her spider monkey climbs on her body then curling himself along her shoulder and neck while also looking up at the feed along with her.)

So if ya know me, contact me. OH! And you got like, thirty minutes to convince me why my former self even bothered wasting my breath on you. Don't keep me waitin' too long 'cuz I get bored easily.

(a beat.)

ACTUALLY, NEVERMIND!!! — Decided to change it to twenty minutes. (her spider monkey seems to be screeching in laughter at jinx's sudden time change but resumes on nuzzling it's head against her cheek.)

OH OH! One more big thing. There's someone here by the name of Vi. If you know her, contact me too. So we can aaaaalll be friends and get along. No shame in that, right?

(she says this but there's something about that smile that really makes it... off putting. regardless though, jinx hums quietly as she cocks her head to the side.)

Tick-tock, tick-tock.

(because she isn't sure how else to nickname this stranger beyond the fact she has a feminine voice but no face to be seen.)

[ There's definitely a flustered squeak coming through over the connection after Jinx says 'cutie voice.' Apparently someone here is very susceptible to being teased.

Or just getting flustered easily at a lot of things.

Thankfully Chizuru seems to at least recover enough to be able to talk on, rather than just making that sound and then nothing else. ]

Ah, that's--! I don't really use weapons, so I think your talents would be wasted on me.. [ And Chizuru's payment would be wasted too. She doesn't even recognize half of the weapons the other is summing up there! ] It's just that I think it's really impressive to be able to do that! Where I come from, swordsmiths are usually very famous and admired, you know..?

(oh. oh, now she has to keep teasing her.)

What was that, cutie? I didn't hear ya with all that squeakin' you just did. Wanna run that by me again?

[ J-Jinx, no!

This is entirely too effective. ]

W-What?! O-Oh, I'm.. um, I'm so sorry..!

[ Yup, she's definitely still sounding flustered as all heck. There's no way Chizuru can't brightly blush and stammer in the face of that.

And apologize for it at the same time. ]

I was just--! Um, I was saying-- I think that what you can do is r-really impressive! I could never do anything like that..! T-That's all!

(oh she's so going to keep messing.)

Hmmm... thanks for the compliment. But y'know, I bet whatever you do is pretty impressive. The fact that voice got my full attention. Think maybe I can see you? — Oooor is this lil' mouse shy?

[tealeafs]

Ah, no, it's just.. I can't see anything right now..

[ Hence why she didn't think about turning on the video. (But then again - even as she's saying she's not shy, she's still definitely sounding shy.

There's a soft 'hold on', like Chizuru doesn't even think about refusing the other's request for a moment. Then there's the faint sound of a bird's tweeting, and then the feed switches over from voice to video. Indeed, it does seem like Chizuru isn't directly looking at the screen, like she has no idea where it is, but she's definitely in full view.

Blush on her cheeks included. ]

.. D-Did that work? I'm not sure why you wanted to see me, but.. um, I'm here now..

(can't see? she'll ask further on that but she'll wait on that since chizuru told her to hold on. so patiently (which is rare), jinx sits back until finally seeing the girl in view. and yes, she is definitely not fibbing on that aspect with the way she is looking waaay off the screen.)

Just outta curiosity. — But what happened to your eyesight?

[tealeafs]

[ A half-embarrassed sound slips out of her mouth. ]

I'm not sure. It just.. disappeared one morning when I woke up.

[ Which is a big deal, sure, yet Chizuru makes it sound a little bit lighter than that. Like she's downplaying the entire thing, since it's not like she wants this person to potentially worry about her. ]

People say that it's probably something that's happening this month to people with a specific bloodtype.. So hopefully it should return sooner or later. [ Hopefully. Being stuck in darkness like this is the worst. And no matter how much Chizuru tries to downplay it here, the girl looks visibly nervous as she speaks about it all the same. ]

You got your omen watchin' over you or friends? — I mean, duh, to the omen but y'know... friends and stuff.

(not that she is caring about her. because how can you care for someone you literally just met? but it's more so she is just genuinely curious about her situation. )

My Omen is helping. And I have a housemate who's very kind as well.

[ If not overly kind, really. But it's not like Chizuru of all people is going to mind that.

She does go quiet for a moment after saying it though. Jinx may just mean it as curiosity, but with Chizuru's utter faith in the inherent goodness of other people, she's definitely reading it with a hint of concern.. or maybe even kindness. Then again, it only makes sense that someone close with Vi is also very kind, right? Chizuru thinks so! ]

I just.. don't want to burden her or anyone else too much. Even though it's hard, I want to make sure to do a lot of stuff by myself as well, so I'm not constantly bothering other people this month.

So you got a housemate, good. I guess my advice would be to get your omen or whoever to rearrange your stuff so you can memorize it by feel.

(or maybe that will make things more complicated. who knows!)

— Have your omni by your bedside tablet at all times. Maybe your hair brush next to that, so on and so on.

[ Even if her Omen may have a hard time carrying a whole lot.. But it's fine. As long as Chizuru is just directed towards the right stuff, she can hopefully arrange them by herself. She's determined to not bother a whole lot of people by asking for help!!

.. though she sure does realise she just got some advice without even asking for it, and it's not like she'll just let that pass. So.. ]

Thank you. You didn't even have to help, but.. you still gave me some tips. I'm not surprised that someone who knows miss Vi that well is just as kind as her though..

[ There's definitely another small 'eep!' at the teasing.

Chizuru is so weak. So, so weak to this. ]

T-Then..! [ Look at how quickly she's speaking up again too, like the fluster is making her even talk faster. ] Is there anything I can do to make sure you won't change your mind? I don't mind helping out with anything, or making you some food, or-- um, anything else you might want! I don't mind proving that I really mean everything I told you, miss!

[ Maybe a little too much to offer a total stranger there, Chizuru.

But then again, she really is just that naive in some ways. ]

(chizuru is really make this far too easy. in fact, it's almost criminal for her to take advantage of how naive and how easily she can be manipulated. and will jinx be the cruel one to twist this for her own gain?

[ Apparently that's something Chizuru has never been called before, since she seems to stop her fluster for a moment - because the surprise and curiosity instead become the stronger emotions in this moment, visible on her face even with the odd blind stare that isn't aimed directly at the device she's talking at.

Clearly she has no idea what exactly Jinx is talking about. But whatever she was doing, apparently it was pleasing the other. And that's exactly what Chizuru wants to do, so-- ]

I'm sure we'll end up talking again sometime soon.. Um, this place is only so big, after all. [ It's hard to avoid people even when you'd want to do so. ] And I hope you have a good time here until then..!
