Good evening, all. I think this is what is termed a 'bandwagon.' However, as I imagine we will all be busy dead, dying, or in the process of resurrecting soon, I thought I had better commit before October.
I'm opening a bakery and sweets shop.
[Lysithea pans the camera to a table that is covered with pans filled with dozens of buns, cakes, and confections of different colors. It really looks extremely well done. One would imagine that Lysithea applies herself with the same intensity to any task she undertakes.]
Everything will be sourced from traditional Fódlan desserts, passed down through family histories and collected by hand in this book. I've realized that if I'm not the one who makes these treats, I'm... never going to taste them again. So I thought I should share.
[The view changes to an enormous tome currently open to a page titled Saghert and Cream in script prominently displaying a luscious picture of some kind of fruit and cream concoction. It really looks like this was drawn by hand.]
I'm baking from my room for now. If you want anything here, you can drop by or I'll bring it over. If you want delivery, you've got to get at least a dozen, because frankly, I'm not running all over town to give you one sweet bun. I'll open a proper location when it's not Death Month.
...Thanks.
[She signs off after a moment's awkward hesitation, as if she's not sure what to do next.]
[video pt 2, ten minutes later]
It's -- me again. Upon further reflection, I have no idea how to run a business, at all, apart from the portion where you confidently declare it in public.
I would... appreciate advice.
And help. If you are willing to be paid in cake.

[Give her time and that will eventually happen... Maybe. Hopefully.]
Maybe we can figure that type of thing out together even if they are in different fields completely.

[A faint pause.]
Oh, yes -- of course, you mean in Deerington. I do remember you from deerfeed. [She couldn't remember if they had actually interacted in the past, but...] What is it you're thinking of?
no subject
[Which was very much like her really.]
Here I think if I do a business I want to do more with it this time and do more than love. After all we all go through a lot here and I think I'd want to do something that could help you know.
no subject
[Lysithea looks a bit flustered after that explanation, for some reason.]
Do you think people are in the market for something like that? I suppose they must be - we do have lots of job opportunities for the Night Walkers, after all. Is that your area of expertise?
no subject
[Plus if it doesn't go well then there isn't much lost really.]
And yes I would class Night Walker as my area. After all I'm planning on also being an idol.
no subject
[Lysithea knows two definitions of 'idol,' and neither of them are potential occupations for human beings.]
As in, something to be worshiped? You would like your fame in business to spread so far that people idolize you as a matchmaker?
no subject
[But she smiles.
But I guess in a way they are worshipped as much celebrities are back home. But honestly I don't want people to idolize me in the same way. I want them to because I'm making a difference here. Or at least that's what I want to do.
no subject
[Lysithea takes a moment to ponder what that might look like. Something similar to Dorothea and her previous work with the choir? But worldwide? (And what's a 'celebrity'?]
That's an admirable goal. You want to be somebody who exerts enough change that she can be looked upon with respect.
no subject
[But she nods. This was a subject she couldn't help but always be excited about to the point it would look like she could produce sparkles at will is possible.]
That is basically it. Be the change I want to be.
no subject
[it's a little depressing]
But it will be up to us to make it safer - more welcoming - less... nightmare...ish.
no subject
[But she nodded slightly.]
That's right and we will do our best to make it as such.
no subject
[Lysithea sounds very uncertain.]
Less like a nightmare and more like a new page. But at least the nightmare is inhabitable, I suppose.

So this was a odd buy slightly nicer change.

I was under the impression that once the business with Julia had been satisfactorily resolved, the world would be returned to some semblance of stability. It seems as if... perhaps, we did not resolve it satisfactorily.

We tried and that is all that matters, even if there is still some oddities.
