[The feed opens to that sound of frantic splashing and the sound of the ocean.]

[Loud rapid-fire meows begin right at the source of the video. In view is the farther shores and a large grand piano anchored in the shallows like it had somehow washed up. Behind it is a harried teenager who looks like he's trying to figure out how to drag it out of the water.]

I'm trying, but it's sunk into the damned sand. If the bloody tide rolls in who knows what will happen to the piano case! Have you got the Omni on? I-

[A very pleased, affirmative Mrrooaahhhh!]

Shit!

[He rushes around the piano, slips and face plants into the water before he makes for a dash towards the feed. After a moment it focuses on his face.]

[He clears his throat with some dignity despite that he is drenched in sand and salt water and has a crab climbing up his shoulder. He looks like he's about to make a very formal address before he sighs in frustration.]

Oh, to hell with it. I need some help on the farther shores.

[He swipes the crab off his shoulder before it snatches his ear.]

My piano just washed up and I'd sooner eat calamari than leave it to rot. I can't offer any coin, obviously, but I'm willing to negotiate other services in return. Whatever it fucking takes.

[He appreciates straight forward people! There's an immediate shift in the camera as he gives Shouto a quick scan of the area.]

Off the board walk, a few yards past a half-buried swingset. My omen can meet you half way, if that helps.

[the omen in question lets out a loud MROWW in answer.]

[ Trained in emergency response, Todoroki is quick to take in the area, noting natural landmarks and anything else that stands out that will make it easy to identify. One sweep is enough. He locks the image in his mind and heads towards the beach. ]

I know where the boardwalk is. I'll be there in 10 minutes.

[ Using his Lamp friend to cut down on the travel time, Todoroki arrives at the correct district and hurries over to the boardwalk where he catches sight of a grand piano submerged in the water. Jumping off the boardwalk, he lands on the sand below and makes off toward the waters crashing on the shore. He looks for the omen he spotted in the video, though his own omen isn't with him. ]

[She is easy to spot! She is a fluffy black cat who is sitting just off from the proper area. She bolts her her feet upon spotting Todoroki, yelling at him as she begins to lead him to the right spot.]

[Elliot is trying to dig out the sand from the piano legs, which is about the only productive thing he can contribute here. He is about ankle deep in water now.]

[He glances up as Todoroki comes in view and raises a hand to hail him over. He gets right to the point.]

Tides rolling in, I don't think we have a lot of time.

[ He spots the omen the moment it steps into his line of view. A cat with glossy dark fur leads the way and Todoroki goes with it. By the time he arrives, he's already taken a survey of what he's working with. Taking in the warning, Todoroki steps up beside him noting how far the legs have disappeared into the sand. ]

I'll try to hurry then.

[ The waves crash into the back of his legs, but his snowboots keep the water out. ]

Hold onto the piano and don't let go.

[ He tells him, waiting for him to do as he asks before he shifts his focus to the problem at hand. With the tide rolling in there's really only one way to get the grand piano out in one piece.

Stepping forward, Todoroki actives his quirk, and a platform of ice rises from the shoreline, covering the length of the piano plus a few feet out. This isn't like one of his massive ice attacks, but a delicate manipulation of his ice quirk to raise the grand piano off the shoreline and into the air atop a pillar of ice.

Below them, the waves crash into the newly formed structure, but it's solid beneath the heavy bombardment. Stepping out from behind the piano, Todoroki moves to the front, and with a wave of his hand, he forms a gently sloping track leading to the boardwalk. ]
