so, here he is. )

if you had the choice, would you stay alive eternally and watch everyone you love eventually die or would you die young and miss out on a life lived?

I would say not sparkling's a plus.

That would explain some of what motivated your question, I guess. And why The Morbs catch up a little quicker.

What about sunlight?

Well, that's helpful. It'd be a real shame to not be able to enjoy the beach on a nice day. Sun shining, breeze blowing, nothing abominable coming out of the water with dire purpose.

[there are days like that here, right?

Besides the one we wash up on, sure, there's a stretch of it, and a couple of spots that are prime for self reflection, reading, a couple drinks, what have you. Not much of a tanner, either.

Been meaning to get back out in the water, but that's going to be a while. It's too cold, and I don't feel like drowning again. Also need to find the right board. Haven't seen a whole lot of any surfboards here.

[well, kind of. the spot he's thinking of in particular had been a bit of a hallucination. only it seems to have stuck around. it's through a door in the middle of town because that's where he manifested it. it's like a ...tiny pocket dimension. the tiniest.]

Might've drowned shortly before I came here. Might've drowned way before that, or maybe not at all. Memories sure are fun.

It didn't get interesting in that kind of way ("may you live in interesting times") until that last day.

That I know of.

[week? toss up as to which it was.]

Most people think California (or New York) are top of the list when it comes to interesting in the USA, but I might argue if I had a mind to. I used to think the same thing. Where was home for you before this?

I've been through Virginia a few times, liked it even if it didn't deliver on the scares.

Can't say I've ever been to Mystic Falls, though. Maybe that was my mistake.

[clearly. that's where the actual vampires live.]
