I can go diving for them; the fishermen have been complaining of The Tower's protection faltering at sea, but I think Mariana can protect the seals well enough.

Regardless, Never Mind should have enough mushrooms to help The Tower soon. Perhaps some of our Coldblood and Darkblood mages might go out with the fishermen, in case of winter storms.

I will bring in a few logs of fungus to the glass gardens at the Painted Turtle Clinic, too. I don't see any reason why they won't keep making mushrooms, even in winter. I think the blackberries might come in again; we had another crop come in this month, and I made preserves.

I have been buying in as much meat as I can, but I don't know any way of preserving it without salt so the wolves can have it. I've been keeping it frozen with cold bloodstone, because the icebox isn't big enough. I suppose I could have someone build a bigger one at the Clinic, but it would be well if there were anything else I could do to keep it nice.

Do you mean to keep stores at the Roost? The sausage is cheap enough, I could bring you some.

1. I don't know anyone else who can do it.

2. I'm sure there's no need. Vi will help me and we can borrow a wheelbarrow.

3. Truly? It must be the kind that stays cold all the time. I was thinking of asking Jinx to make one.

4. There shouldn't be any trouble if winter doesn't stay beyond March, especially if the blackberries keep coming in. We put up everything we had in June to treat corruption, and then I helped to put up everything they had left at the farm before the frost came. I always meant to share it out among the city.

5. I arrange deliveries for the Sanctuary in Crenshaw and the Painted Turtle Clinic. Most of it I get from Trenchwood Farms, but they don't have a grain crop yet, or very many goats, so I also buy from other places in Feed.

Mostly I talk to the fishermen when I treat them for corruption, or when they come in for other treatment at the Clinic or Wellness Center. I don't think it would be very hard to find their captains and talk to them.

The wrecks last year came right up to the shore
And it was all preserved in jars and airtight crates

I'll of course help you keep the Roost stocked with necessary supplies and stay longer to keep an eye on everything. I've had enough experience maintaining safe houses over the last few years, it's just standard operating procedure at this point.

Haven't seen any of those shipwrecks yet.

although...do you think the zealots can make it into the ocean? i might want to be careful about swimming out alone if they can
