Video; un: darkness

[The video turns on and it's Maul, using his omen Venge to broadcast it. He looks serious like he's about to talk to Trench about a topic of great importance.]

For those unaware, this is the time of year when the Pthumerian or half-Pthumerian known as Santa Claus comes to Trench towards the end of the month. He can shift into many forms to fit into your home but most often looks like this.

[Venge, his Omen, turns to look at the picture that has been sketched of a fairly traditional 21st century Santa Maul has set up next to him. Yes, this presentation comes with pictures, all made by Maul himself]

Santa is one of the more benevolent Pthumerians though he is possessed of much stealth and cunning, making it difficult for people to interact with him. He is associated with deer as Sodder was but his chosen favored deer are reindeer. He uses his powers to make them fly.

[Another picture, this time showing the team of flying reindeer that looks like it was copied from an illustration of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. This one is a little rougher, especially the reindeer, for drawing animals isn't Maul's forte.]

He loves the scent of pine and prefers if there are wreaths or full trees made of them left in the home when he visits. Those who leave him offerings of food and drink he will reward with presents. The offerings can be small such as this.

[Again, another picture showing a glass of milk and plate of cookies are shown with an equal sign followed by a small stack of presents underneath a Christmas tree that has been decorated rather....oddly with things like animal skulls and black ornaments on it.]

But he also accepts larger offerings if you wish for larger gifts. There appears to be no known way to prevent him from entering your homes but he doesn't appear to seem interested in causing harm to people, even those who fail to provide him hospitality. I have yet to run into him personally the past two years, but if anyone sees him, please let me know. I wish to test my fighting skills against him.

[.............Yes, Darth Maul just said he wants to fight Santa Claus. Will wonders never cease?]

No, I can't. Back home, it's
Sailor Pluto who is the Goddess of Time, and there are a whole bunch of rules about time she must follow. But there is a senshi able to travel through it however and whenever she pleases without disturbing the natural order or breaking any rules Sailor Pluto follows.

But that is because of who she is.

The more I learn about the senshi and all the wonderful and terrible things they are capable of, the more thankful I am that I've remained on cordial terms with the ones that are here.

[He only knew that Usagi and Makoto were ones, for he had yet to get close enough to Hotaru to sense the energies that would have been the same in both forms.]

I'll tell you about the Senshi of Death some other time, then.

[She's aware Maul and Hotaru have met, but not that she is a senshi, and one of the most powerful ones at that.]

[Maul was both impressed and terrified at the same time, so par for the course when it came to viewing the senshi.]

Sailor Saturn, Senshi of Death and Rebirth. She is able to end the populations of whole planets, whole solar systems if needed, with the drop of her glaive. Then, with the drop of her glaive, rebirth can occur, it might take thousands of years but rebirth will happen.

The Senshi of my solar system are Sailor Mercury, Senshi of Water, Wisdom, and Knowledge, Sailor Venus, Senshi of Metal, Beauty, and Love, Sailor Mars, Senshi of Fire, Passion, and War, Sailor Jupiter, Senshi of Plants, Protection, and Lightning, Sailor Saturn, Senshi of Death and Rebirth, Sailor Uranus, Senshi of the Winds and Sky, Sailor Neptune, Senshi of the Oceans, and Sailor Pluto, Senshi of Time.

And Sailor Moon.

Later, the Sailor Quartet will awaken in a thousand years, Sailor Juno, Sailor Vesta, Sailor Pallas, and Sailor Ceres.

All of those senshi for a single solar system? [He paused to let that sink in.] I can only imagine how many would be needed if there was one for every planet in my own galaxy.

Well, our system used to have many more people in it. There were Venetians on Venus, Mercurians on Mercury, Martians on Mars, Jovians on Jupiter, Lunarians on the moon... But now there are only Earthlings. They are the only species left in the galaxy.

But there are other inhabited planets in the galaxy as well. And they have guardians as well.

If the planet needs protection, she will awaken her guardian in my universe.

Dare I ask what happened to all the species on the other planets in your system?

[Something very bad he was guessing.]

It is not quite the same in mine, one per planet-- [There would have been millions of Force-users rather than thousands.] --but I almost wonder if the Force awakens in its acolytes for much of the same reason, to do their best to help the galaxy. At least when it comes to those on the Light Side.

They died in the war, those that didn't... they were wiped out when Saturn dropped her glaive and ended everything in the system.

Earthlings only survived because of pure numbers. All other populations were wiped out.

If not for Saturn, even Earth wouldn't have had a chance to recover. And better some life in the system, then none at all

They don't even remember it, though. The war isn't even a whisper of a memory or legend. It's not in any history book and what myths humans have made are all wrong.

[Maul listened. His eyes grew bigger and bigger as he listened to what had happened. He knew Usagi was powerful enough to destroy an entire planet if she so chose and she'd told him of how Galaxia could destroy a planet with little more than a thought. But Sailor Saturn sounded like something else entirely given how she could end life in the entire solar system.]

.................Remind me to never get on the bad side of any senshi ever.

[Oh Maul, Usagi sees how his eyes widen. She knows what he is thinking. She doesn't bother to go into details or the powers of Galaxia and herself.]

I thought you already knew that.

It helps to have reminders like this on occasion.

[He said faintly. A good reminder not to poke any of the senshi with a stick for no reason.]

Well, glad I could remind you, then. You should never mess with a senshi.

[Because then you would deal with me is left unsaid.]
