Yeah, that's... I mean, it might be a real thing here, but, back home, Santa's a myth. Parents mainly use it to bribe their kids into behaving for the rest of the year.

I spent the holiday season fighting off the creatures of Christmas, Santa among them. It was a good month.

[Really. Keith should know better. Maul liked to fight. He did remember him running off into mirror!Trench to go and kill whatever it was that had been following them that time. This should not surprise him.

Also, the Pthumerian versions of Santa and other story characters like that hadn't exactly been "nice". So, it wasn't like it was a terrible thing, right? But there was just something about hearing someone they fought off Santa that was a little disturbing and Keith had a bit of trouble keeping the mildly troubled look off his face.]

You do realize that the ones that are here aren't like the ones that are back home for most people, right?

Maybe. Maybe not. But the ones here are what count for me and I got to decapitate the Pthumerian at the end of the battle. It was an amazing duel, one to be recorded as a song by Metallica.

[Darth Maul vs. Santa Claus sounded more like something Weird Al Yankovic would record than Metallica but they were Maul's favorite Earth band.]

[Ritsuka has some vague knowledge of Christmas mythos, he knows, roughly who Santa IS, but he absolutely has no clue about the coal. So the intent of the whole "bags of coal go to bad children" is completely lost to him.]

We should test it to make sure it doesn't do anything weird like let out a noxious gas or something before using it in the house.

No. I didn't ask him for anything. I think he thought it was a joke or something... or a commentary on how he feels about me. Either way, I decided to make it look like it didn't bother me.

I mean... yeah. Besides, we need a coal stove for it. I don't know if we have one. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have, though.
