[It's .. some skinny white haired dude who could probably use a hairtie, sitting at a worn out wooden desk. Peeking over the edge of the desk is what looks awfully like a dark, strangely furry python head, complete with flicking tongue. No wait, there's two.]
Good afternoon! While I've been making as much use of the journal I found in my pack as I can, and had quite a few questions answered by it, it's not clarified much by way of these ... omens. Like what I'm supposed to feed it.
[Make that three snake heads, the newest one stretching towards the omni bit by bit. Yoichi doesn't seem to notice, or perhaps mind; it's hard to tell.]
I'm also hoping to find someone who can help me with getting a bit of a sturdier dwelling built close to the beach. I'm afraid I don't have much to offer in return save ... ah, blood. I'm told that can be quite valuable the first time it's shed here, I'm apparently a coldblood now if that's helpful. [Clearly he doesn't like the blood thing but what can you do? He brightens back up, just as one of the snake heads makes a grab for the omni with a mouth full of very sharp teeth. It's caught before it can get to it and gently pulled back.] I've been told there is such a group here but I guess I'm easily distracted, I keep forgetting to ask for more details.

[One day he's going to find something too long dead or outright toxic and pay for it but that isn't today.
He sobers though; food is important, corruption is outright intimidating.]
I've ... heard about it, but only here. I've never heard of anything like it back home.
[Must be someone's power, somewhere, causing it. But why?]
And how even getting too sad can cause corruption. Hopefully it isn't inevitable that everyone has to deal with it eventually. ..Who is Robby?

hopefully with less food that will one day make people sick.]
I'm not sure. It kind of reminds me of cursed energy back home, like um... when people's emotions get really bad, when spirits dwell on bad things.
Oh, Robby is my friend. [a much better topic, he loves talking about how cool certain people are, robby the top of that list.] He's been here a while and is really good at figuring things out. Most of what I learned about blood stuff is from him.

[He's never heard of a poisonous crab. Or a venomous one. Octopus, sure, but he knew to stay away from the ones with the tiny bright blue rings.
A note is made to find out more about how corruption works so he can stave it off as long as humanly possible. Maybe from this Robby person.]
What's he like, besides good at figuring things out? I guess he's been here a long time?

[this is probably a good idea, though bringing crabs to a bunch of gnarled fishermen like is this okay? is a pretty funny mental image.]
Hm, he's good at karate and skateboarding. He's also good at explaining things, I think because he's still trying to figure everything out too. [at least he always manages to explain things in a way mob can easily follow, so there is that.] He helped me when I first came here and still does. There's a lot of really generous people here.

[It's not like he has anything with which to buy things anyway, but just in case, ticking off the professionals didn't seem like a good idea.
On the other hand it might let them know what's safe to eat.]
Oh, skateboarding. I didn't know anyone still did that. I guess I'm going to have to see if we run into each other at some point, if he knows a lot of things then maybe it'll help avoid some mishaps down the road.
... Think he'd like a crab?

[about
fakepsychics, but this is probably the same, right? right. totally.]Neither did I. He's going to teach me though, how to skateboard. [which is going to be a riot. he perks a little.] Yeah, probably. I could ask if he likes crab, if you want.

[Or he continues with his current method of trial and error! And nothing's killed him yet, or made him sicker than he usually contends with, so it had to be okay!]
... Yes, do that. I'm sure we can find some to share. I'd like to watch you learn how to skateboard too if that's alright. I can't join in, I'd probably break something in the first five minutes.

[yoichi please stop using yourself as a guinea pig....]
Okay, I will. And you can if you want, I won't be very good either I think. [enjoy watching him fall 100 times in five minutes honestly.]

[He makes it sound lighthearted, a joke, but he's quite serious. That takes effort! Or looks like it does, he's seen the stuff the fishermen use on the docks, and it'd probably drag him right into the ocean!]
Well I guess then I'll see about finding some ointments and bandages ahead of time because it sounds like we might need them.
