Right, so, I've apparently come in the last few months when the creatures who everyone thinks are in charge are all getting sick and now there are suddenly children and teenagers everywhere.

How worried do I need to be? Is this "a day ending in y" sort of deal or a "make peace with your existence cause it's ending" sort of deal?

Oh, and I guess zombies are a thing here too.

The fact that we're all deeply "fine" with a whole bunch of zombies and other fuckery is pretty telling that the dial got set to 10 and then ripped out and we only care if we see fire.

It is just that there doesn't seem to be much point in fighting it. Resisting what is happening ends up worse then simply dealing with it. We acknowledge that this isn't what we want, but we also acknowledge that it could be worse. I've lived through worse.

I wouldn't necessarily say that she's directly causing them, but her influence is certainly there. It seems to be a combination of her own abilities mixing with the way her followers have chosen to worship her.

Probably nothing to worry about. It's definitely 'day ending in Y' stuff, and usually just temporary. At least as far as everyone being their different selves thing goes, at least. The Pthumerians getting sick isn't really a normal thing though - not as far as I can tell.

But back where I'm from, there's pretty much always something trying to end the world, so.

Whatever it is, we'll figure it out. Don't worry.

I'm trying not to be annoyed that everyone is saying 'day ending in Y' like... I set myself up for it, but I seriously hate that this seems to be a-okay and nothing we can do but wait it out.

Back home... nothing trying to end the world, not the literal world, anyway. Just people endlessly trying to control the worlds of others.

You kind of eventually do get used to the endless ever changing chaos around here. A lot of it's cyclical too, depending on who the patron of the month is.

Yeah - I mean, the way things are at home probably gives me a little bit of a different perspective on things here. So you have access to other worlds where you're from? Like... other planets? Or other realities or dimensions?
