I have a query based on the circumstances many people have been going through this month. The changes, to be precise.

I've noted that many people indicate that the afflictions reverted after a short period of time. Naturally, most are relieved by their return to normalcy.

However, I feel like I must ask: is there an upper limit for how long someone remains with their particular alterations.

Has anyone retained their changes indefinitely? Is there a way to lengthen the timeline, if not?

Personally, I'm quite invested in keeping mine as-is.

The short answer is: "it depends".

The long answer: I've seen one person change their Blood type last year and remain that way. In my case: most of my Sheddings have lasted only days. The first two times, it lasted only five days. This current one has lasted nearly ten days. The timeline seems to lengthen if one doesn't burn or otherwise consume the cast skin.

I suppose that makes sense. I wasn't intending to consume it, but good to know to not burn it, either. So far... adapting to this form has had a sharp learning curve, but I'm nothing if not adaptable. The hardest part has been contending with the odd looks and crude remarks I've gotten on the streets from some poorly socialized individuals. Some I scoffed at when I knew they couldn't hear. Others... we'll say they learned a few hard lessons on how to treat a lady who's more than she seems. [The smirk turns dangerous, as if the schooling involved rightfully deserved fisticuffs.]

Professional curiosity is getting the better of me. Dare I ask, what ailed your hand prior to your transformation, or is that something you'd prefer to keep confidential?

I'm not so sure whether it's possible. On the other hand, I'm also not really sure whether anyone has actively tried.

[ So it's not out of the question that it only seems impossible since no one has made an effort.. Who knows. ]

On the other hand, I can imagine that the influence of the shedding ceremony could grow less powerful over the coming months, since the snake-like nature of it seems linked to the current month's Pthumerian.

I can see how in most cases people would be eager to return to their standard of personal normalcy, so I am glad for them that it generally seems to wear off before too long.

The time limit does make sense with it being connected to this month's Pthumerian in mind. I suppose it might simply be a matter of a waiting game in which I just enjoy the time I have unless I can find a way to extend it.

For one.. well, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, since I'm not their biggest fan, but you could try talking to that snake Pthumerian about this. If anyone would know whether there's a way to extend this, it'd be her.

Generally speaking they'll revert on their own by the end of the month, but I don't believe there's actually a time limit.

You may be able to ask Madam Generosity to extend its duration.

That's the general consensus I've been hearing on the subject. It makes sense.

That's true as well, though I suppose it is a matter of timing with that, all things considered.

--but there's quite a few advanced prosthetics shops in town. You may be able to find a serviceable substitute there.

Most things have a time limit here. It'll either revert back at the end of the month or stay for a little longer, but it's mostly temporary.
