[ erwin is seated in a chair at what appears to be a kitchen table as there's a china cabinet behind him on one side and a countertop on the other. he smiles mildly before speaking. ]
I have a query based on the circumstances many people have been going through this month. The changes, to be precise.
I've noted that many people indicate that the afflictions reverted after a short period of time. Naturally, most are relieved by their return to normalcy.
However, I feel like I must ask: is there an upper limit for how long someone remains with their particular alterations.
Has anyone retained their changes indefinitely? Is there a way to lengthen the timeline, if not?
[ he lifts a hand. the right one, to be precise, and flexes his fingers. it's a normal human arm. nothing special about it. ]
Personally, I'm quite invested in keeping mine as-is.

That's very good to know. I'll have to keep track of how long it lasts, but I am hoping for as long as possible.
[ a beat passes, but then: ]
And thank you, Falco. I'm very happy with the result, though I know many people are struggling.
[ you know, uh, like, you know. struggling. phew. ]

It won’t . . . Please everyone. [ he’s more rushing to enjoy things rather than being upset about it. ] If you are Mister Levi are free this afternoon, I’d like, [ an audible pause, but it’s only to breathe, ] to have tea.

Of course we'll be available for that. Any time that works for you, we can have tea.

It's... Well, I'm very grateful that this is the change that I got, to be frank.

I don't have an arm on a normal day.

That's rough bud.
Have you thought of getting a robotic one? Those are pretty common where I'm from.

The short answer is: "it depends".
The long answer: I've seen one person change their Blood type last year and remain that way. In my case: most of my Sheddings have lasted only days. The first two times, it lasted only five days. This current one has lasted nearly ten days. The timeline seems to lengthen if one doesn't burn or otherwise consume the cast skin.
no subject
I suppose that makes sense. I wasn't intending to consume it, but good to know to not burn it, either. [ he straightens his head then, and smiles. it's very mild, for a man normally so intense. ] Thank you for the information. I hope your own transformation hasn't proven to be detrimental, but I'm aware not everyone is as lucky as I am.

[The blonde tilts their head slightly and looks slightly sidewise into the device.]
Professional curiosity is getting the better of me. Dare I ask, what ailed your hand prior to your transformation, or is that something you'd prefer to keep confidential?

[ So it's not out of the question that it only seems impossible since no one has made an effort.. Who knows. ]
On the other hand, I can imagine that the influence of the shedding ceremony could grow less powerful over the coming months, since the snake-like nature of it seems linked to the current month's Pthumerian.
no subject
The time limit does make sense with it being connected to this month's Pthumerian in mind. I suppose it might simply be a matter of a waiting game in which I just enjoy the time I have unless I can find a way to extend it.
no subject
But if he does seem so relatively eager to keep it, then.. ]
I guess there could be ways.
[ .. s-she's not helping, okay! Ange? Helpful? She'd like to deny all allegations of that, thanks. ]
For one.. well, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, since I'm not their biggest fan, but you could try talking to that snake Pthumerian about this. If anyone would know whether there's a way to extend this, it'd be her.

You may be able to ask Madam Generosity to extend its duration.
[ Though he can't speak to how successful that's likely to be, given how sick the patrons are as of late. ]

That's true as well, though I suppose it is a matter of timing with that, all things considered.
[ what with, yeah, the whole sick patrons thing. ]

If you would like it to stay as is, I could possibly help.

[ he pauses at the offer though, considering, before leaning in a bit further. not in a secretive way, more—piqued interest. ]
I'm very invested in it remaining as is and would welcome any help in obtaining that. With reciprocity, of course.

It's fine. [ she smiles small and pleased. ] You trusting me is enough.
[ that's a little loaded, especially to a stranger. but what makes wanda grow pensive is how to even explain how she can do it. she's always been the weird one. her main powerset has always been her telepathy and hexes. it's a little strange to describe what she can do beyond those two descriptors. ]
I can manipulate reality. I'm a Darkblood, but... I naturally have these powers.
