Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and I want to do something really special for Snow now that we're together. Something beyond the usual flowers and chocolates and cards, although she'll get all three from me.

But of course this depends on whatever we're being put through this month. I'd still like to find some way to make it special. [and her expression turns stern] And if The Doorway chooses to do something truly awful to us, I'll never forgive them!

Yes, of course! Friends, family...it's assumed to have more to do with sweethearts than familial or fraternal love, but no one gets their noses bent out of shape if other forms of love are celebrated, too.

It is. Though, we didn't actually have movies when I was from. It was almost startling to see my first.

Hmm. 'Blue is the Warmest Color' is...clear enough, but the male gaze makes it entirely suspect. I'd recommend either 'Saving Face,' done by a female director or 'Imagine Me and You' which is just plain adorable. I can't count the number of times I watched the latter while I was trying to make sense of my feelings for Snow.

Yes. It didn't hurt that I saw couples of two men or two women everywhere. So I did a little...discrete research and found that unlike what my time and society claimed, there was nothing wrong with them. Or me.

[Rose just grins] I am! The spittle came from home, but the rest came from here. I was placed fourth in the All Trench Karate Tournament last summer and I'd barely had six months of training under my belt. So I suppose that makes me the protector?

she's under no illusions, most people here seem to be from worlds where fighting for one's survival was a constant thing. not Rose, though, unless one counted her eternally fighting for her own mental and emotional survival, trying to not become the mask of the perfect Society young lady]

Purple is amazing!! And pink, too. If I had to pick my two top favorite colors, it'd be purple and pink.

I wish I looked better in pink! It clashes with my hair terribly. But pink as a color is perfectly good.

Have you tried other shades? Or how about like a mixture? Pink but it's a lil' more on the purple side.

That could work? Maybe a lavender pink? I love lavender, back when I thought I was going to marry I insisted that the bridesmaid dresses be lavender.

Yes, it was all arranged back home. The dresses had been made, hundreds of invitations sent. All to marry me to the biggest horse's ass in all of Pennsylvania. What he lacked in charm or empathy, he more than made up for with cold hard cash. That's what endeared him to mother.
