Valentine's What? - Voice; un: ...
[Savage almost never posting to the network, but with all the people being affected by this upcoming heart day, he figured there were answers that were necessary to make it survivable. Or at least probably less anger-inducing because people were insufferable overall.]
This... Valentine's Day thing. It's for mates to reaffirm their bond to one another from what I have gathered.
What do all the singles supposed to do? We don't have such a day like this where I'm from, and our mates generally despise us anyway, so nothing like this would work.
It seems last year it was some single people being sad and pathetic. I assume there is something single people are supposed to do that I'm missing.
[He may as well try to learn some traditions beyond his own. He's never had to frantically try speed dating; their version was a fight to the death to impress a Nightsister, so it was short-lived for some.]

For real, the fact your mates hate you is a bigger issue than what to do being single. Sucks for you.

Gotta ask: why do your mates generally despise you? It kind of sounds like maybe you shouldn't be mates then.
[Voice]
Because males are lesser compared to females, and so we are treated as the disposable army that we are. Only those who are born with the gift have a higher rating, but once we mate, we are close to death anyway. It is a Sister's right.

It is the same in my time as Sith. On Dathomir, it is different as the Dark Side is woven into traditions and we live in colonies. Some get more attached than others.

[Text][UN:A_Wesker013]
There's one way of handling Valentine's Day that, as a chronically single person myself, I admire. I spent six months in Japan on business and witnessed how the folk there celebrate it. They treat it as a time to appreciate one's friends and coworkers and not merely one's sweetheart. On February 14th, women give gifts to their male friends, loved ones, and colleagues, usually in the form of milk or dark chocolate; a month later on March 15th, the men return the favor, often with gifts of white chocolate, to avoid 'regifting'. It's a good way to keep people from being overlooked by their peers.
[Text]
I don't have friends like other people do. [He had people he was on friendly terms with, but it was hard to define them as friends even if everyone else would say they were.] Does that kind of tradition need to be chocolate? Humans have such a fascination with it.

... A lot of people just buy the cheap chocolate that's on sale the next day.
But there's no reason to feel bad about it? Just... ignore it if you don't like it.
[Voice]
I probably will. It doesn't seem like a worthwhile tradition to follow.
