[ Luna is... looking a little overwhelmed, although it might be hard to determine considering she's usually so wide-eyed all the time. But it does look like there's honestly too much going on all at once. The poor girl is a bit over-stimulated with the latest round of blood effects. Her senses are in overdrive, and just... so terribly confused right now. ]

How do I make a room that's silent—? Like from the outside? So I don't hear what's going on outside? Or perhaps someone has some very powerful ear-plugs? That might be a bit more convenient for going about outside, really...

[ She trails off for a long moment before she grimaces a little and then continues: ]

Something is... not quite right. Sometimes it's fine and then everything just goes... weird. Things... taste. And feel. When I shouldn't be able to taste or feel them in the first place. I just keep getting all these tastes in my mouth and they won't stop. [ Eating has been a nightmare the last few days. ]

It's... like I know what people taste like. And feel like.

[ Because that doesn't sound absolutely horrifying in the slightest. ]

This... is a blood thing, isn't it? I'm a Paleblood, if that helps. It must be a blood thing. Is... anyone else having this issue?

I could make you some fine linen gloves, if you like. They wash well and don't taste like much on the inside.

I have seen some colors with sounds, but they haven't been very much trouble. I do have to be careful when I'm matching threads, though.

A pair of earmuffs might do me better, if you can make me those. I wish I had a pair of the ones my Herbology teacher used in class, they worked really well for Mandrake cries.

So you hear things and colours happen? Is it like bursts of colour, or does everything look a certain colour?

100% a Paleblood thing.

When I first got here, my native empathic abilities+Paleblood meant my senses went on overdrive and it was kinda like this. One of the gifts from the Tower as Patron has been a compass that can access a room cut off from everything. Pocket dimension. Vyng borrowed one from Michael for me, and helped me get sorted.

A few other people seem to be tasting with their hands. Are you tasting and feeling sounds?

I can try to make something to block the noise out. I think your magic might work better for it than mine, though. My jewelry teacher might be able to make bloodstone you could put in your ears to stop the noise, but I imagine it would cost a great deal.

I suppose the colors are a little like watercolor paints. They always seem to fit the sounds, like the word 'ocean' is the same color as the ocean, and so are any ocean noises.

I apologize, I'd move to text but- I'm struggling with my sight in a similar way. If it's easier I'll ask Palamedes to type and read for me. That said I'm trying to see if there's anything to paleblood stones and possibly lessening the intensity of the sensations. You'll be the first to know if I figure anything out.

When I look at things they have a physical sensation at the moment.
Reading is particularly difficult, letters feel sharp and words reflect their definition. 'Karate' felt like a blow, for example.

I mean, I do remember there being some stuff *in* the room, so maybe it wouldn't be so helpful for you? For me at the time, it so much better than feeling like the entire town was competing to pour through my head.

Sometimes it's one, sometimes it's the other. Sometimes it's both at the same time. There doesn't seem to be any knowing how it comes about when it happens.

I'm busy looking at my old textbooks for spells. I can stop a person talking, make them louder or quieter. But muffling my ears is a little trickier, it seems.

That actually sounds rather nice, much better than mine. There doesn't seem to be any reason, sometimes. People's voices are the strangest. Peter tastes like herbs, and just this savouriness. But it's also quite bitter, too. Like it catches in the back of your throat.

I can silence objects easily enough. I can silence people, too. But then that's not very nice to do that, nor practical.

Peter's room is very calming in its own way, though. It's very colourful. And it has lots of blankets and cushions. If anything I could bury my head in those for a bit.

It's very difficult to describe, mostly. It reminds me of a kind of smell, but I can taste it rather than smell it. It's... a bit like after a lightning storm? Maybe?

And metal. Like eating coins.

Oh, that sounds awful! I would suggest finding some books with kinder words, although I can't say it would be the most interesting of reads. Or just looking at lots of soft things, like feathers or gently running water.

This one can provide a month's worth of silencing talismans, if it pleases.

I have found them useful for keeping private conversations private and, while in seclusion, keeping out unwanted noises.

I think you'll have more luck with vile bloodstone. Sometimes it blocks the curses entirely. There's a connection between Vileblood and Paleblood, but I don't know how it works. I haven't had time to look it up in the Archives.

I tried to give vile bloodstone rings to all the Palebloods I know, but if I missed you I can make you a new one. I don't know that it will help very much with this curse, though.

[Chrollo's voice feels like silk and the cool relief of flipping the pillow over to press your face against the cool side of it before going back to sleep. The taste is also oddly refreshing, fresh clean rainwater from the sky.]

Excessive silence is usually unbearable. But it shouldn't be too hard to make something that will block out all or most sound.

I lost my hearing last year for about a week or so, I think the part that was most difficult was not hearing the voices of people I cared about. But silence isn't too terrible.

It's... a bit like that, yes. The sensations part isn't too bad, it can be a bit much since it's all over and not just say... in my hand if I touched something. The taste is often too many things all at once, and is quite unpleasant.

Magical or something quite like it that one would be hard pressed to make any meaningful distinction.

Placing one on each wall should keep sounds out. Admittedly, sitting in such silence can be unsettling after a while but at least these blood effects are only temporary, no?

There's a lot of that happening among Palebloods. It's something I've heard in my world of origin, a neuro-sensory processing quirk known as synesthesia.

Have you any thick quilts or curtains? You might consider hanging them on your walls till this clears up.

Yes, that. I know of a few spells. I can magically glue someone's tongue to the roof of their mouth. Or there's a spell that will render an animal or person mute.

There's the Muffliato charm, but all that does is fill someone's ears with buzzing so they can't eavesdrop on other people's conversations.

I'm still looking to see if there's something else I can use. It's not like I can go about silencing the world for my own sanity.
