[ Luna is... looking a little overwhelmed, although it might be hard to determine considering she's usually so wide-eyed all the time. But it does look like there's honestly too much going on all at once. The poor girl is a bit over-stimulated with the latest round of blood effects. Her senses are in overdrive, and just... so terribly confused right now. ]
How do I make a room that's silent—? Like from the outside? So I don't hear what's going on outside? Or perhaps someone has some very powerful ear-plugs? That might be a bit more convenient for going about outside, really...
[ She trails off for a long moment before she grimaces a little and then continues: ]
Something is... not quite right. Sometimes it's fine and then everything just goes... weird. Things... taste. And feel. When I shouldn't be able to taste or feel them in the first place. I just keep getting all these tastes in my mouth and they won't stop. [ Eating has been a nightmare the last few days. ]
It's... like I know what people taste like. And feel like.
[ Because that doesn't sound absolutely horrifying in the slightest. ]
This... is a blood thing, isn't it? I'm a Paleblood, if that helps. It must be a blood thing. Is... anyone else having this issue?
ooc: pls feel free to drop hints as to what character voices may taste like or physically feel like in ur tags. or I could just make something up for them.

I could make you some fine linen gloves, if you like. They wash well and don't taste like much on the inside.
[someone else mentioned tasting things with their hands, which has been happening to sansa, so she assumes that's what luna is talking about.]
I have seen some colors with sounds, but they haven't been very much trouble. I do have to be careful when I'm matching threads, though.

A pair of earmuffs might do me better, if you can make me those. I wish I had a pair of the ones my Herbology teacher used in class, they worked really well for Mandrake cries.
[ Oh, no. That sounds awful.]
Do you mean to say people are... tasting things with their hands?
[ Colours with sounds, though. Oh. That's different. ]
So you hear things and colours happen? Is it like bursts of colour, or does everything look a certain colour?

[it seems like a lot of work for the ears, but probably isn't too dissimilar from how wolves use scent...]
I can try to make something to block the noise out. I think your magic might work better for it than mine, though. My jewelry teacher might be able to make bloodstone you could put in your ears to stop the noise, but I imagine it would cost a great deal.
I suppose the colors are a little like watercolor paints. They always seem to fit the sounds, like the word 'ocean' is the same color as the ocean, and so are any ocean noises.

When I first got here, my native empathic abilities+Paleblood meant my senses went on overdrive and it was kinda like this. One of the gifts from the Tower as Patron has been a compass that can access a room cut off from everything. Pocket dimension. Vyng borrowed one from Michael for me, and helped me get sorted.
text; un: quibbler | cw: drug mention
Although, does it work differently if someone else uses it?

I mean, I do remember there being some stuff *in* the room, so maybe it wouldn't be so helpful for you? For me at the time, it so much better than feeling like the entire town was competing to pour through my head.

[his tone is very flat. the taste to it, feel to it, is probably as close to what raw magic would be in luna's experience with it. that kind of ozone pop with a distinct metallic taste at the end.]
I apologize, I'd move to text but- I'm struggling with my sight in a similar way. If it's easier I'll ask Palamedes to type and read for me. That said I'm trying to see if there's anything to paleblood stones and possibly lessening the intensity of the sensations. You'll be the first to know if I figure anything out.
voice; un: quibbler
Give her a moment, she'll get used to it. ]
You do not taste in the slightest how I would expect you to. [ Although perhaps the metallic taste makes sense...? Given his work...? ]
Whatever's happened to your eyes...?
voice -> text
[time to go get palamedes. he could get rio to do this but rio gets bored easily. husband it is.]
Hopefully this is better, my apologies.
I never thought I would ask you this but how do I taste?
When I look at things they have a physical sensation at the moment.
Reading is particularly difficult, letters feel sharp and words reflect their definition. 'Karate' felt like a blow, for example.
[fucking paleblood shit man.]

I think you'll have more luck with vile bloodstone. Sometimes it blocks the curses entirely. There's a connection between Vileblood and Paleblood, but I don't know how it works. I haven't had time to look it up in the Archives.
I tried to give vile bloodstone rings to all the Palebloods I know, but if I missed you I can make you a new one. I don't know that it will help very much with this curse, though.

Now that I think of it so is Allen. We'll have to check in with him.

[She sighed, and held a forestalling finger up. The feed cut, and after a moment, she returned.]
Ngh, I'm experiencing some disorientation myself, but it's not like that. It's like things going on fast forward all of a sudden. It's very ... unpleasant. Perhaps it's a blood thing?
audio; un: quibbler | well this was fun to make up
It's an odd mixture on her tongue, even if she would never mind the incense by scent. Like accidentally getting perfume in one's mouth. It catches in her throat and she coughs a little to clear it. ]
This continues to get incredibly stranger. [ She clears her throat again, trying her best to be polite about it all. ] Voices going faster is a new one, though.
I could try to speak slower... if that would help?
Hah, yeah, I'm almost jealous. Describing sights as smells or smells as sounds would be trippy
honestly tho

Excessive silence is usually unbearable. But it shouldn't be too hard to make something that will block out all or most sound.
What do you mean when you say taste and feel... as if you were licking and touching or something else?
voice; un: quibbler
I lost my hearing last year for about a week or so, I think the part that was most difficult was not hearing the voices of people I cared about. But silence isn't too terrible.
It's... a bit like that, yes. The sensations part isn't too bad, it can be a bit much since it's all over and not just say... in my hand if I touched something. The taste is often too many things all at once, and is quite unpleasant.
[ There's the briefest of pauses. ]
You sound quite nice, actually.

[His voice is like walking through a forest on a cool day - natural, green and leafy. It's smooth to the touch like treated leather.]
I've been holed up in bed trying to not taste things I see. I'm really hungry but everything is just wrong.

That sounds horrible, I'm sorry. Does the food you look at not taste like it should...?

Have you any thick quilts or curtains? You might consider hanging them on your walls till this clears up.
[There's an odd quality to his voice, like the tang of woodsmoke and something almost poisonously sweet.]
voice; un: quibbler
That's a brain thing...? [ She's guessing from 'neuro'. That means brains, doesn't it? ]
That might be a good idea, maybe I could do it in one of the spare rooms. Objects aren't too bad because a lot of them make sense? But then little else does.

[Maul, despite still being an ass of the highest degree, did in fact have a very nice voice. Physically, there was a soft and smooth quality rather like the way velvet felt when one ran their hand across it. It definitely was a nice voice all things considered.]
