[ Luna is... looking a little overwhelmed, although it might be hard to determine considering she's usually so wide-eyed all the time. But it does look like there's honestly too much going on all at once. The poor girl is a bit over-stimulated with the latest round of blood effects. Her senses are in overdrive, and just... so terribly confused right now. ]

How do I make a room that's silent—? Like from the outside? So I don't hear what's going on outside? Or perhaps someone has some very powerful ear-plugs? That might be a bit more convenient for going about outside, really...

[ She trails off for a long moment before she grimaces a little and then continues: ]

Something is... not quite right. Sometimes it's fine and then everything just goes... weird. Things... taste. And feel. When I shouldn't be able to taste or feel them in the first place. I just keep getting all these tastes in my mouth and they won't stop. [ Eating has been a nightmare the last few days. ]

It's... like I know what people taste like. And feel like.

[ Because that doesn't sound absolutely horrifying in the slightest. ]

This... is a blood thing, isn't it? I'm a Paleblood, if that helps. It must be a blood thing. Is... anyone else having this issue?

How very terrible for you.

[Maul, despite still being an ass of the highest degree, did in fact have a very nice voice. Physically, there was a soft and smooth quality rather like the way velvet felt when one ran their hand across it. It definitely was a nice voice all things considered.]

[ She shouldn't be surprised. Of course, Maul is eloquently spoken, for all the rage and vitriol in him. But there's a long silence on Luna's end, stunned for a long moment. But, well... if anything it's a nice reprieve. There's been plenty of unpleasant voices she's heard. It's not been the greatest of times. ]

... I don't suppose I should think there's genuine sentiment in that.

[ He wouldn't care, why would he feel the need to? ]

[Maul smirked. Just because he was finally on a better path didn't mean he liked Luna one bit more than he ever had. The young witch was still firmly an enemy in his mind. His voice dripped sarcasm when he answered.]

Can it not be both? You're not wincing when you speak to me, so I assume my voice doesn't sound terrible to your senses.

The latter is not wanted. [ Surely you have something better to do with your time, Maul. ] But of course, it's no secret you're eloquently spoken. I'm not surprised it feels how it does.

[ At the very least, as Vira-Lorr suggested, it's a very handy thing to collect information on. ]

[There was a blink of surprise from Maul when Luna said he was eloquently spoken. It wasn't a conscious habit. Most of the time Maul was thinking very hard of what he was going to say next, given speaking his mind tended to get him in a lot of trouble.]

Well, I was raised by a politician. I was bound to pick up some of his habits sooner or later as I grew up.

[It was also why he and Savage had different accents despite being brothers. Maul had picked up on Palpatine's Nabooian accent after being around the man for so long.]

I never cared much for politicians. Too many secrets and things hidden. [ ... ] Perhaps one of the better habits. Consider it a silver lining in amongst everything else.

A wise stance to take. I have never met a politician I had cause to trust.

[Granted, Maul didn't trust anyone really, but politicians especially irked him with all their lies and double-talk.]

That and my fighting skills were the only benefits to being raised by him, I can assure you that much.

[There was no denying Maul was a tough bastard and had learned how to become one of the galaxy's most skilled fighters thanks to Sidious' sadistic tutelage.]
