[The feed pulls up on Wesker, who sits on a rustic bench in the rear courtyard garden of Arklay House, now overrun with a wild growth of odd-looking vaguely lily-like orange flowers which seem to bend and lean toward him, almost as if drawn to him.]

Until further notice, if you're coming to Arklay House for treatment, a consultation, or a social call, use the Lantern at the front door near the street, not the rear door, in the enclosed courtyard. The new spring planting isn't to be trusted, at least for now. I will explain to those who enquire.

[He shifts slightly, clearly changing the subject to something more personal which some part of him hesitates to address.]

But a more pressing order of business... Has anyone heard from Ariadne recently? I had a basket of pomegranates which I'd gathered in my attic which I was going to brin to her, and her device isn't picking up.

They planted themselves, or rather, this month's patron decided they belong in my courtyard garden. Otherwise, they seem to have followed me from my world of origin. Given what they might carry, it's better if they stayed there.

[A slow inbreath and his head bows slightly.]

It's not like her to not comment somewhere. I suppose I should go to Willful Machine and see if she's at home.

Ah... so, they're associated with the issue that you and I have spoken of in the past? Yes, it would absolutely be best to steer clear. We lack the immunities.

I haven't, no. But...it wouldn't be the first time people have gone to sea without anyone being there to see it. If she's gone. Maybe she's still here.

I'm hoping she's still here. She's.... like a younger sister to me, as well as a business partner. I'd send some of my patients to her garden to rest and refresh their spirits.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit her presence would refresh my spirit. [A flicker of a sad smile.]

I hope she is, too. I really like her. She's always so nice and I feel like we had some things in common from back home.
