I know a bit about my world's technology, though my own technological focus is more around guns and other machinery like that.

I'm no trained engineer, but I've put together a few gadgets in my time.

Sure. Where to start...

The main thing is that my world doesn't have 'atoms' - it has aether. Aether is the 'stuff' that makes up everything from people to dirt. It can be elementally charged, and I use a lot of lightning-based aether in the production and maintenance of my firearms-based toolset. (Though there's fire for igniting the powder.)

A lot of the really technically advanced items in my world have been either copied from a previous civilization or were created by the Garleans, who are the only ones who can't channel aether consciously. Not all, but a lot of them.

In terms of technology, most of my world lives without a lot of it. We have cities and libraries and plenty of what I'd think are modern things, but we don't have technology along the lines of say, a microwave. Not in the area I'm from, at least.

My work is in experimental theology, and so the bulk of my work is related to my research. I've worked with technologies from different worlds and developed plenty of my own.

What is your interest?

Your guess is more accurate than you know, but it's an old habit. I believe the term used in other worlds for the same discipline is "theoretical physics".

I do the same sort of work here as I always have — which is to further the understanding of how the world works so that we might use it. At the moment, I am primarily studying blood magic and the nature of the soul, especially as those things relate to the Pthumerians.
