video; @anonymous | THIS IS MY FIGHT SONG (take back my paint song)
Wrench: green
Jinx: blue
Sharon: Orange
[ The feed turns on (yes, he still claims to be anonymous even on video) and already thereβs some noise in the background. Looked like it was Jinx and Sharon engaged in some kind of one-sided battle. Sharon is busy trying to snatch a paintbrush out of Jinx's hand, her cheeks puffed up in visible frustration, lips pursed. When it's clear she's not going to get it back, she steps back, picks up a small bucket of paint, dips her fingers in, and then flicks the color at the other girl before sticking her tongue out childishly. Whether Wrench was or was not aware that they were fighting or one of them was fighting and the other of them was confused about it was out for debate. Speaking of Wrench! Two LED eyes pop up from the bottom of the screen real close. ]
Helloooo trenchies!! [ in one big swooping motion that might have almost hit the both of them which he quietly apologizes for shortly after. He swings wildly between being dramatic and being serious enough to give someone whiplash if they werenβt used to it. A moment. Wrench takes a step back, okay a few more steps, aaaaaand a couple more. There we are. ]
Tis I, your friendlyβ er, your neighborhood, uh, Wrench. And I need your help! Or, uh, I guess Iβm just announcing some shit with these two cool cats. [ He shrugged and Sharon gave an awkward wave, pulling her attention away from Jinx. ]
Found this place in Willful Machine. Fixinβ it up to be a kinda work and live space for all you techy engineer and programmer types if youβre interested. [ Cause heβll use it anyway so whatevs] Come on by, share resources or work on some shit with other people. First, though. Gotta make it look fuckinβ cool.
[ Jinx rolls her eyes at this and without a word, she gathers up to her feet and storms off somewhere off screen β yanking a bucket with her to go as far away from the two of them as possible to paint. Wrench takes a moment to watch this but returns his attention to the camera. ]
[ Sharon takes a moment to step up next to Wrench, shooting Jinx a short look as she sulks away, visibly confused but trying not to draw too much attention to the tension ] There's plenty of shit here to decorate with if you want to come by and help. And I've also brought snacks, so... Free food!
Oh, yeaaaaaah! Free food. How noble! [The sarcasm in her tone is enormously thick, not even the toughest of knives can cut through. ] Itβs important to include everyone, right? Make sure no one starves out here.
[ And Sharon just sighs deeply (like a bitch (: ) hoo boy. never a dull moment here, right? ] Soooo yeah! Come by. Help us make shit cool.

I hope you're cool with looking at yourself, Wrench. [ MB might have a good point. Some direction would be good or he's going to get a thousand little chibi Wrenchs causing havoc all over the walls and she won't be sorry. ]

Hmmm. [ Wrench makes his analysis of this whole situation very dramatic. You know, like those art snobs in movies. ] Hmmm. [ And turned, just as dramatic. Pinched his finger and thumb together and in a very extremely fake french accent: ] I love eeet.
[ Then, back to normal. ] Eh, do whatcha want. I think I need. Some graffiti on me, though. Don't you?
no subject
What kind of graffiti are you thinking? Because I only know how to do those ugly bubble letters.

Get creative, man. Here, gimme. [ Hand open. Palm up. Paint pls. ]

[ Nevermind that she definitely drank and smoked cigarettes by 16 (and backed off by 17; she's a huge daddy's girl ok) ]

[ Wrench turned and handed her back the paintbrush. ] What have you always wanted to do but felt like you couldn't?
no subject
At the question, she snorts. ] Live a normal fucking life like a normal fucking person. [ She clicks her tongue against the roof of her mouth and sighs. ] But that's never really been in the cards for me. Not back home and definitely not here. That ship has sailed, Wrench.
[ She smiles, more to herself than to him. It's a private, almost shy thing. ] I've never really wanted for much in my life if I'm being honest. I think I don't know how to so I just live from moment to moment.

So Wrench nodded, his display showing empathy for what clearly seemed to be a bigger burden that she'd ever revealed to him before. He wouldn't ask. Besides, now wasn't the time. What with all this bickering and weirdness going on. He hummed and shifted his weight from one leg to the other. ] I think you should want. Something for yourself. [ He nodded. Though... he also knew what that was like. The majority of his life was spent working against the grain for a greater cause, not for himself. ] But, uh. Define normal for me, just outta curiosity cause my normal might be fucking weird by default yanno?

a lot of people who say shit like that don't know what its like to have no grass on their side. [ he looked to her and shrugged before going back up to the wall, splashing color into some kind of weird goat looking thing. ] think its fine to want something normal for once.

Maybe closing in on wrap?
You quoting Mick Jagger at me, Sharon? [ it came with a laugh. ] Sure, that's a truth a lotta people don't wanna except. Life isn't fair. Never gonna be. We can try and fight for it but we'll always be fighting.
[ He stopped after finishing some ~ masterpiece ~ of a nonsense graffiti doodle. ] I'm glad you're in a better place, Sharon. You deserve a little normal. Everyone does. Recent spat aside, I hope this can be a little normal for you.
yeah this one can be considered wrapped
...Thanks. [ And then, shyly, she adds: ] Me too.
