Your basic CQC; I was in the marines for a little while and I've needed to keep myself sharp for every job since then.

Military, huh? Should've guessed. You've got that precision to you.

You do the same kind of jobs Eames does?

That depends on what kind of jobs Eames told you he does.

I was a hunter back home, although that involved a lot more recon than it does here.

Something about dreams and thievery? Sounds like fun.

[ She rests her chin on her hand, glancing over him curiously. ]

Hunter? Of what?

Oh, no, that was the uh...

[Mm.]

There were other versions of us. The other Arthur and Eames, they went into dreams. I was a vampire hunter. Which... sounds crazy, but so do dream heists in my opinion.

Oh. Kind of just... assumed you'd have the same jobs.

[ She smirks. ] Vampire hunter sounds cool though.

It had its cool moments.

[Does he have PTSD? Almost definitely yes. But hey, cool scars.]

Had to get pretty good with wooden stakes.

[Did that... sound as cool out loud as he thought it would??]

[ PTSD, you say? Cool scars, you say? Well, doesn't she know how to find peas to her pod. ]

Is that stuff true? The stakes and the garlic and all that?

Stakes, yes. Garlic, no. I've crossed paths with a few Italian vampires and all of them were offended by that myth.

[Fun times in Europe.]

I'd say maybe two thirds of the pop culture vampire mythology turned out to be true when I started learning about them.
