Hello everyone! Ladies and Gentlemen and.. people who aren't either but.. are other things I guess- ANYWAY! I'm Bolin, you might know me, I was in Deerington for a little while before we made the journey here. Mako's brother, earthbender, at your service.

[Bright! Excited! He's got so much to say and it's all great!! Bolin is sitting in a booth in The Raccoon Room, it's all very fancy and newly opened as you might remember from the big party on Halloween. Heck, you might have seen him there performing tricks with his omen Pabu the fire ferret, who is currently draped around the back of Bolin's neck like a scarf, only mildly interested in what's happening but squeaks every time Bolin gesticulates particularly big.]

Firstly, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to the Raccoon Room's opening night, it was great and I know it meant the world to Mako and Wu. And hey, if you had fun you should come back which is what brings me to my next point!

We're gonna do a musical.

[Jazz handssssssss! His eyes are very bright. Is this a good thing? Should you be worried? Remains to be seen.]

Wu has asked me to direct it, with music by Ryan from Chicken Choice Judy aand I know what you're thinking: Oh- Bolin [In falsetto, because that's how you all sound and you know it.] but a musical we don't know-

Wrong-o, it is going to be amazing and you're all going to love it. So good news, we're casting!

There's going to be auditions.. and costumes and music! And sets! It's going to be like a live action mover with songs, I can't actually think of anything better.

Of course you can come over. Honestly, Mako always makes so much food, it's like he forgets that you don't live here anymore. And Fritter misses Pabu!

I knooow it's a big change but it was the right thing to do. I keep forgetting and coming back to the place haha but you love birds need your nest.

[ Wu flushes a little at that even if, yeah. They kind of do. ]

You're always welcome, really! How's the new place working out?

Oh, it's great! I can feel the city's heartbeat, you know? I can be as loud as I want. Really feel like I'm reflecting and connecting back to my roots.

[royalfling]

The city has a heartbeat?!

[ Can you blame him for wondering that, with all the weird shit around here? ]

That's great, Bolin! If you need any help decorating, you know who to call.

[He probably will not.]

But yeah, all cities have a heartbeat, metaphorically speaking. The hustle and bustle is like breathing. The thrum of city life, that's the blood. It was the same in Republic City.

[royalfling]

You're so right! I loved being right in the heart of Republic City-- [ He gasps ] Oh, wow! I never even thought about it.

Oh, boy, once you're settled in, we should have a housewarming!

[pabugotmoves]

[He laughs but it tails off a little awkwardly. Nevermind! Bolin clears his throat.]

Oh hey, I'm going to hold auditions for the show on tuesday, is that okay?

[royalfling]

[ He lets it go... for now ]

Tuesday is a great day! I'm thinking the Raccoon Room is only open on the weekends because, boy, is it tiring. So you can have the space for rehearsals the rest of the week!

[pabugotmoves]

Ah, that's perfect!

Thanks, Wu. This is going to be amazing. Have you thought about who you want to play yet?

Any time! I'm excited that you want to do this.

I've only see that one song! I don't know, maybe the tap dancing girl? But she's a girl, and I don't know how to tap dance...

Is there anyone you think I should try out for?

Oh yeah! Because we're watching it at dinner. Sorry, my head is full of bees right now. I'm full of bees! It's nice having something to focus on.

I mean, making the venue was amazing and really rewarding, but this is kinda different.. does that make sense? Not in a rude way!

[royalfling]

No, no, I understand! You need your own thing. I really think you're going to be amazing at this, Bolin. You have amazing ideas, and you just need somewhere to channel all of them. You know that if you need any support, you have me and Mako to help out.

...I hope you're not actually full of bees.

[He laughs and waves it off]

No, no bees for real. Pretty sure, anyway. I'm just full of energy.

I dunno about you, bud, but these last couple months I've felt like such a slug-toad. It was cozy at first and then it got really weird but I feel a lot better now and I'm pretty jazzed.

[royalfling]

Right... energy.... not bees.

[ But are there bees?! ]

It is pretty weird, it's always been weird, here, in Deerington-- but focusing on something else really helps! The Raccoon Room helped me so much. [ And before that, focusing on the safe house, and on your brother ] It doesn't stop the weird, but it helps.

Those are some wise words. I guess life is just weird, huh. It was weird back home, it's weird here.. it's just weird.
