[Oh, here's Michael! For those who may have seen him this month, it seems like his corruption has receded quite a bit. He's lacking those fangs and claws, and he mostly seems kinda withdrawn and sheepish. Honestly, he'd rather not be doing this publicly at all; there's simply too many people he needs to say it to, and he doesn't even know who all of them were.]

Hey. I, um. I just wanted to apologize to everyone I may have chased through the streets with weapons or...otherwise caught in a booby trap...this month. Things got a little bit weird there, for a while...

[He seems sensible of the fact that this is potentially not a great apology, but he also doesn't seem to know where else to go from here? There's a moment or two of awkward silence.]

So, yeah. That's my bad. Let me know if there's, ah...anything I can do, or whatever. Shop's gonna be closed for a couple more days.

Yeah, back home humans didn't like us very much. I guess someone might show up here who does, but at least most people here will probably back me up, right? Well, unless we have a month like we just had.

There'll probably always be months like that. Always were before.

[There's a moment of brooding silence, but he visibly shakes himself out of it.]

We can bounce back, though, we always do. There's always going to be someone around to back you up, at least. I've never heard of it hitting everyone the same way at the same time.

Yeah. And at least since my house has every blood type living there, it's never going to be everyone living with me.

Really? Crowded place. But yeah, put like that, I see the benefits.

Oh, yeah. We have more people than rooms there. Mostly kids, though, so it's really nice having a bunch of people around my age there.

Ah, that sounds fun. They're a good group - plenty of combatants, they can look out for you.

[He's not really got a good enough sense to be like "lol maybe kids Fern and Varian's age shouldn't have to do combat". Like, sucks that anyone has to do combat, but they sure do here!]

Which is good, because I don't know if you noticed, but I'm not much of a fighter. I mean, I've got my poison, but that's mostly a defense mechanism.

I did notice that, yes. Maybe you can try to learn how to spit the poison at people?

Oh! I should try that! I don't know if I can do that, but that definitely sounds like something I might be able to do!

That'd be neat! Maybe you could squirt it out of your eyes, like those lizards.
