Hey guys!

Your resident aspiring witch here just saying that I'm glad to see a lot of you who came back, and a big hello to those who I'm just seeing now! My name's Luz Noceda, and for right now I'm living in a pretty nifty house with some of the best guys you'll ever meet!

I also know that we're all kind of living pretty far from each other and we're only just getting used to where we live, but now we all live in fairly different places. So I figure why don't we take this time to give a quick rundown of the type of place we're living in and what you can expect to see!

Our house is located in Cassandra, which seems to be a little rich in magic. The disciples here are really into their faiths, and I think that kinda lends to strange things walking around the street. Kinda helps to have your omen around, I've learned. My wolf Tempest keeps most mean looking monsters away, so I'm usually pretty safe, but they also sell lots of incense around here too. I think its to help keep the beasts I keep hearing about away, and to ward off corruption. I'd say if you're going to Cassandra with a mind to focus on magic, you've some to the right place. As Fern's observed though? Not the greatest place to grow things.

But that's just one part of Trench! What does your city have to offer?

It's kind of strange yeah, but it's that way for all of us now.

They do, but then Usagi has a way of drawing a lot of people to her. She just has a brilliant light about her and is so warm and amazing.

In different ways, yeah!

I noticed that! A lot of people really like her! Guess that means you guys are extra protective of her, right?

Usagi is strong and is really capable of protecting herself. But yeah we're always there to keep her safe. And I'll do whatever I can to make sure that she's alright and nothing diminishes that light she has inside.

She's lucky to have such good friends!

Huh? That's a funny way of saying you'll protect her life!

Of course, I want to protect her life. But I want to make sure that she's happy too, that she has everything that she needs. Or at least what I can provide for her.

I think I know what you mean. I feel that way about some people who isn't anymore, and everyone that I live with right now.

That does sound like a pretty hard thing to make sure happen, though. How would you manage it?

I just do everything that I can for her. From making that special breakfast that she likes, walking with her to the store, hanging out and talking, just being there and doing whatever I can for her.

Aw, that's really sweet! I'd ask if she's special to you in a different way, but I think I know the answer to that. At least, maybe? I shouldn't make assumptions.

[Honestly it was hard to tell].

She is. I guess you could say that she is, someone very special that I'll always find myself drawn to and will do anything for no matter where we are or how long it has been. Ah but Usagi has Mamoru and he's perfect and they're destined for each other. And we're all really close and special to each other I guess.

Oh. So you're basically just friends for life! I get it now.

[Right, that Mamoru person Usagi had mentioned before. Now that made sense, mostly].

Destined? Huh. Didn't think teenagers in my time believed in destined lovers like that.

It's kinda nice.

[Luz wasn't sure she believed in the idea of anyone being "destined" for someone else, but it sounded nice enough for people who were obviously very much in love].

Yeah, though Usagi's so wonderful anyone who meets her is bound to want to be her friend as long as possible.

[When you saw the pieces line up as often as they did, and felt the attraction pulling you together, it was hard to deny.]

They're a really cute couple. And the idea of star-crossed lovers is pretty romantic. But he doesn't seem to be coming so I kind of wish I could do something more for her.

I know what you mean! I tend to see her and want to be friendly, even if I sometimes say things that come off wrong or confuse her.

[Luz has a bit of a history doing that].

Well, you know Usagi! She seems like she has a lot to think about, so it's not like she'll be waiting with baited breath for him! I have someone back home I kinda wish was here too, but that's less about fated and more that they make me feel comfortable and protective around them.

That happens a lot with Usagi. But she usually catches on.

[Though there were certainly some things that went right over Usagi's head.]

You do? What are they like? Who is it?

I think we're just born at different times! So I understand if I say something that might be strange to her.

[And sometimes Luz just said things that were interpreted in a different way].

Oh, uh! Well, she's basically this magical prodigy who's always under pressure to be and act a certain way. She's got, like, this high class sort of name, but I feel like that's just a chain weighing her down. When she's with me and my friends, she can be herself. She's really sweet, kinda awkward, and she has the best smile!

[Careful Luz, you may have majorly given yourself away].

She sounds pretty special.

[Makoto could definitely tell the feeling that was there. And it reminded a little of another prodigy that was missing, the only member of their group that was missing.]

You must be pretty special too for her to feel like she can just be herself around you though. It's pretty hard for those like that to do.

Oh, she is! I can tell no one struggles like she does. I'm beginning to see there are some people like that here too though.

[Luz did feel pretty resigned to the fact that Amity, along with everyone else from her world, wouldn't show up. It was a rough thing to think about at first, but with the people she was close to now, it wasn't as bad as it could be].

Well, I try to make sure she's comfortable with me if I can! She's a friend, and I always wanted her to be herself around me.

[Luz felt a tightness in her chest. She was really missing Amity].

Sounds like you're a really good friend. Though I kind of already knew that since you really helped out before, even though we didn't really know each other.

Speaking of which, if there's ever anything or the boys need all you have to do is ask. Like I said Fern is coming over for some plant food, but if you need anyone to cook for you or need a cake to celebrate or anything, just let me know.

I try to be helpful when I can! I'm happy to help!

[Luz is sometimes bad taking compliments, especially when she thought everyone should at least attempt to be a good friend].

Honestly, I wouldn't mind help with knowing WHAT to cook. I plan on doing that for the boys whenever I'm able (almost all the time) but I'm only fourteen, my mom usually did the cooking for me. I know how to cook some things, but I could always use help in what I need to make!

[AKA PLEASE HELP ME I WANT MY BOYS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF].

Alright, then I'll put a few simple menus together and I can give you a few lessons on cooking. I did the same thing for several people back in Deerington that had never had to cook on their own either.

The main thing is to make sure that it's balanced and you're not only eating junk food or prepackaged stuff.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! Luca can probably go fishing in the water, but I really want to make sure I have something for Fern and Varian since they're older and need nutrition!

Oh no, no way. I didn't even eat like that back home (because mom would never have let me)!

You need it too you know. We could pick up some bento boxes and then you can something for each of them even if they have plans that day too.

Good, eating right is important to staying healthy.

Oh right, me too of course, but I was talking about the boys because they're teens, so they eat more.

Well, when reminded they eat more.

Good idea, they tend to be pretty active! Also, I have to fine tune what I get for Fern.

You got that right, especially when blood seems to be so important around here!

You'll probably figure out what each of them likes and doesn't pretty quick. For instance, Usagi loves anything that really sweet but if it has carrots she'll refuse to eat it.

Same goes for how much to make, though there's nothing wrong with making a little extra and having left overs for later.

Oh, I am! I am so going to find out what each and every one of them like and make sure that I get that for them when I can! But they do have to have some veggies. If I have to eat them so do they!

[Well, maybe not Fern? Did fishboys eat vegetables? They had to, right, like algae and stuff? Suddenly Luz realized she had a lot to think about].

Trust me, mom definitely instilled that idea in me! There's nothing like reheating some pernil with rice and beans to make you happy!

I have plenty of ways to sneak them in to different things if they don't.

[Hot pots would be really good starting soon too since it would start getting chillier.]

It sounds like you've learned a lot from her. They especially good after a long day though when you don't feel like cooking.

[Or when an enemy kept you out so late it'd be impossible to cook anything decent.]
