[ Even as the image can be seen, it seems like there's still a moment of set up, tiny hands fiddling with the Omni like they're trying to get the perfect shot.. But then there are two faces visible. Two faces that are looking decidedly younger than usually - it's Ange and Ruby, looking like they definitely can't be much older than six years old.
And looking very excited. ]
Um, so, so..! We heard that there's some sort of reaaally scary snake monster out there! So.. we thought we'd help out everyone and get rid of it! Because Ruby.. She's a really, reaaally cool huntress! [ Ange may be Will-Smith-esque posing at Ruby for emphasis right as she says that. ]
[Ruby just stares at the camera briefly until she notices Ange's hands pointing her way. She blinks and quickly starts to flex her twiggy arms to the camera.]
Yeah! We're super strong and awesome and we've got tons of weapons! [Ruby gestures to a sack of potato's and a large collection of sticks that they've gathered up.]
That snack is going to be- a- -uh- a, a piece of snack!
[ While Ruby is saying that last part, it seems that Ange has already moved over to grab one of the sticks for a demonstration. As she's running back towards where Ruby and the Omni are, she's waving the stick wildly. ]
We'll get it just like thi--
[ Ange manages to smack the stick right against the device, turning the view sideways before it just cuts out entirely.
Oops. ]

.. now she's thinking about it like that, she's finally realising something about the reason Atsushi might seem so concerned. ]

What? No! I mean... Maybe a bit, but that's because it's really dangerous! And it's not the issue here-- You're too young to put yourself in danger on first, Ange-chan!

[ So that totally means it's a-okay for little kids to throw themselves out there into battle, right? ]
Why can she fight a monster, but I can't? [ Ange's cheeks puff up, clearly pouty. Like Atsushi is denying her some potential real fun here! ]

[ Please, Atsushi, you don't know what kind of force of nature that girl is. ]

[Well. She's right about that. Not even the Fun Police can stop a force like Ruby, can they? If she's anything like her older self, then...]

[ Is Ange picking up on the fun police's slight stutter? That semi-hesitant tone?
No, not at all. It's just that Ange believes in Ruby that fiercely, even when they have been reduced to just being little kids. ]
Ruby is really strong, you know! One time she told me that she could wrestle a raccoon if she'd try! [ That's clearly on the same level as Atsushi, right.
He's basically a raccoon now. ]

[So he's gone from striped big cat to striped trash cat? He's... not sure how to feel about that, Ange.]
So you plan to wrestle a giant snake?

No, we're going to take it down with our combat sticks!
[ You know, Atsushi. Combat sticks!
.. they're just sticks the two girls picked up off the ground, but still. ]
There's no way a monster can be strong enough to resist those..!

[he's trying to dissuade them, but honestly..? Atsushi is beginning to realize that this is a losing battle. They're going to fight the snake anyway, aren't they?]

Then she moves her arms up into the air, holding them as far apart as a little kid can. ]
.. about this big?
[ Granted, if she means that on a 1:1 scale, that's about the size of a particularly large raccoon. Not really getting close to monster size. ]

Atsushi sighs, searching for a compromise.]
What if I uh... told you... to guard a certain area? [Since he's heard that the Unsnakely lures people down a green path, maybe he can just convince the girls to stay in town? Ugh, but lying to children...

[ Ange seems to be considering this proposal for several moments. Several agonizing moments, probably, given the fact that a potential heart attack for Atsushi over little Ange's safety is on the line.
But then, thankfully enough, she nods. ]
I can do that! Why just one spot though? Is that where people see the monster a lot?
