[The feed turns on to show...a wolf. At first the wolf's yellow eyes take up the screen, and then its nose as it loudly sniffs at the camera until a young girl's voice with a strong Irish brogue addresses it offscreen.]
What are you doin' over there? I need help with this part!
[The wolf turns around to join whatever's going on, revealing that this is in Mebh's room at the Waystation. And it's an absolute mess; Mebh is currently in the process of painting various things on the walls with paint that sheprobably stole got from somewhere in town. She's painted it with numerous kinds of shapes and symbols; spirals, circles, arrows, simple depictions of wolves and people. What seem to be most common, though, are wolf pawprints overlapping with human handprints. The wolf Mebh called over dips one of its paws in a jar of paint, and Mebh guides the wolf's paw to the middle of a painting of a large circle of wolves, where the pawprints overlap with her own handprints that she added earlier.]
There! Sin é, that's it. It's startin' to look more like the den now.
[Seemingly satisfied, Mebh goes to another part of the wall where she's in the process of painting something else; it's meant to look like this, though Mebh's artistic ability doesn't quite match her vision so it looks a good deal cruder.
Will Mebh get in trouble with the Dog Keeper for painting on the walls of her room without asking? Probably. But at least she's preoccupying herself instead of dwelling on what she's lost. If she's going to stay in a room instead of the woods, she can at least make it look more like home.]

[In Mebh's own opinion, at least. She'd probably be a wolf all the time if she had her own way.]
But I have to fall asleep first. Then I can leave me body and be a wolf.

[The last out-of-body experience in Mabel's awareness was that time Bill possessed her brother. He'd chucked Dipper out of his own body then so he could drive it, and Dipper had been forced to reach out to her as a ghost of sorts. It had been a little difficult!]
When you leave your body, can you still touch stuff and everything?

[She's very much solid as a wolf. There's only a few seconds when leaving or going back to her body where she's incorporeal.]
But if I get hurt as a wolf, I'll feel it on me human body later.

[It's something Mabel has struggled with pretty much ever since she's been here. How awful, to be anything vile. That she's able to rattle it off so easily now is a mark of her progress in accepting the situation.
To be fair, she's grown fangs and discovered a convenient increase in her pain tolerance in recent months, which does help. Still, she's the sort of person who can't help but feel a pang over being a normal girl with big teeth when literally everyone she meets is just cool.]

[Hey, at least she's putting it forth as an option. In Robyn's case, Mebh had bitten her by accident and the other girl had become a Wolfwalker even after Mebh healed her bite.]

But even outside of the whole "poisonous" thing, there's enough reasons not to that even Mabel slows down. Even so, she smiles. That something like this could even be an option is super cool all by itself.]
I think I better keep figuring Trench stuff out for a while before I go for anything like that. Me and brobro are doing a lot of research about corruption and magic and stuff. [And a big part of corruption in Mabel's case is how much sleep she's getting, so adding something weird to that is a special complication.] We should totally hang out when you're a wolf, though. And -- hey, when you're not, my omen's got wings and gets real big. We could go flying.
[That's probably the coolest thing she can offer in return.]

[Mebh deflates a little when Mabel turns her offer down. Even if her biting Robyn had been an accident and she'd been worried about it at first since her mother had forbidden her from biting anyone, that had quickly been overtaken by excitement since it meant she and her mother weren't the last of their kind anymore. She'd figured that offering to bite someone who seemed interested could lead to there being more Wolfwalkers like her, but it seems as though things won't be that simple.]
Yours can fly? [The prospect of flying does cheer her up, though.] I've never been flyin' before. How high can you go up?
