How many of you found a new found respect for squids after you got here or after you walked back into the ocean to get away for a while.
I didn't think of them much before but now I'm like well, they're not that bad. Might think twice before having Calimari.

Maybe you didn't see it all. I went to visit Roderick a couple times, I know not everyone did.

[Michael doesn't even consider them to have been that close, but he always felt a weird amount of kinship towards the guy. Probably the squid thing.]

Plus I remember them raining from the sky for a month at one point.
Almost got crushed by one!

We must have missed each other because I don't remember any of that.

The last thing I remember is the sinkholes. Which I guess is where we are now, right?

I do remember those, but there was a lot of stuff that happened after.

Never went inside them myself, but I don't think that's where we are.

How long has it been? Since you've got a better handle on the timeline than I do.

I don't know, time really flies at my age.

[To say the least. Not to mention, it was quite some time ago for him!]

The dream ended maybe six months after the sinkhole thing? Definitely not more than a year, I was only there for a year to begin with.
I've been here for about seven months. I think that was the first time Deerington folks started showing up - there were other Sleepers before that, but I've never met any I recognized from before.

Yes and no.
I took a dip and went home for a little while.

Funny to see someone actually back again after that.

Not that I know of.
I've really only known a couple of people to go back to the sea like that.
But it is nice to think they'll come back sometime.

I think most people are better off back home.

I've always heard they're just floating around out there.

Whose to say? Maybe consciousness filters us in out of dimensions.
