Video: UN: Delilah Dirk - Temple Complex Find Announcement
[When the video turns on, Delilah looks like she's nearly vibrating with excitement. Which, as it happens, she actually is.]
Right! I am in need of stout-hearted companions for an actual, real-live quest. As you may be aware, this place is heavy on monsters and weirdness but light on proper adventuring - but that's about to change!
[She pulls a map out of her cleavage and flourishes it. Don't ask her where she got it - the story is long, complicated, and involves her swording several people. But this discovery will be of interest to everyone...]
So according to this map, there is a bloody massive complex of temples, ruins, and worship sites to the far northwest of the city. There's a few other complexes depicted in vague detail on the map, but the one we're looking at is a little something called the Temple of the Forgotten Mother.
Thus - I am organizing an expedition! [Since doing it herself isn't the brightest idea.] I'm looking for experienced archaeologists, linguists, some muscle, people with exploring experience and someone to write it all down prettily.
If treasure is found, each personage receives an equal share, with the standard clauses about divvying it up if you can't claim it. But nobody will get eaten, I'm sure.
Who's with me?
[OOC: This references a player plot you can ALL take part in - the expedition was for volunteers, but its effects will be general...and feel free to use the temple complex to stage your own plots! Details Here!]

I've been itching to do another adventure with you! I guess I'd fall under the category of adventurer experience though, since I'm pretty sure I don't qualify for those other titles!
[Luz's shorthand could use some work].

Well, only way you get good at it is by practice, hmm? Right, into the company you come.

Let me know when you're ready to set off!

You still got room on your team? I’m good in a fight, and I’ve done some exploring in the past. [Usually while running around trying to avoid being bitten by zombies.]
Re: video
Plenty, if you've got those things on your resume.

I'm Leon Kennedy, by the way.

[All said with brightness.]

[Delilah, Delilah please.]
Buuuuut I know how well you handle dangerous situations, so I'm pretty sure you can get us through it without any of us dying horribly.
[Was that a compliment? It sounds like it could be a compliment. ]

Hesitation will do that quicker than anything. But thank you, I'm fairly certain we'll all come out unscathed. Maybe some bumps and bruises.

I'm well-accustomed to writing it down all prettily. Also, this would fall within my interests as an Arcane Scholar. I'm very interested in the origins of Trench and how it changed people as Trench itself changed from what it was into what it is.

I'm Delilah Dirk, and welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll use the share of treasure well, in those circumstances.

The screen jolts up and down for a couple moments as he tries not to drop it.]
An expedition? I'm so down for that!
I'm a linguist and ain't so bad in a fight myself. I have lots of experience in questing, expedition...ing, and retrieving artifacts. Was my old job back home, actually!

Oh, well, jolly good, then! Welcome aboard, Mr...?

[And that's totally a Librarian with a capital L the way he says it.]
Great! What kind of monsters might we be expecting here?
[Cause he's actually kinda use do that at this point.]

[She waves it away like it's not important.]
But I'm the greatest swordswoman in all of Trench, so you'll be in fine hands. And we'll have others along who are very good at what they do.

[It should probably be terrifying but expeditions with unknown monsters are right up his alley, too. He's grinning happily at the thought of a wonderful mission fraught with dangers.]
That's great! I got nothin' to worry about, then. Plus I can hold my own in a pinch. This almost make me miss home.
[He actually does miss home, a lot, even though he has that sixth sense that he belongs here now, so he's waxing a little more nostalgic than usual.]

Hi, um, if you're still taking applications, I'm an adventurer so this is the sort of thing I did back home.
I can fight, and I have a spell that should allow us to translate whatever we find.
