[It's not entirely obvious when Snow White starts up the video, just how much pain she is in. She's still smiling but it's a bit more subdued. She's even paler (somehow) than she usually is. She also has a bandage on her neck. Her animal friends around her are deeply concerned, watching her carefully and Faramund, her giant stag is staying pressed against her side as if supporting her to stay upright.]
Why hello everyone!
My goodness, wasn't that jungle such an interesting place! I've never seen some of the animals there before! They were so nice, though. [Snow had struggled in the jungle not because of the animals but because of the pain she's currently in just for existing. But her pain tolerance, despite her appearance, is ridiculously high.]
Oh, but! That isn't why I'm speaking with you all.
I'm sure we've all noticed those terribly large blood boils coming up all over the place. And while the bloodhounds are doing a marvelous job getting rid of them, well there is just SO many of them the poor things can't get to all of them. Not that they don't try, of course. [Snow being Snow is yes, slowly befriending them.]
So, I'm going to tell you how I get blood out of clothing! And walls, and floors, and furniture, and windows, and really anything else! Especially since the blood splatters don't smell very nice. [That's one way of putting it.]
Thankfully, getting blood off the walls and floor are the easiest to clean with a good strong brush and bucket of scented soap! But I do know the rest can be very tricky.
So if you would like any help, please let me know. Blood in on fabriced furniture can be especially tricky.

[ Somehow the girl making it this clear that it's her own blood she had to clear up only makes the entire thing seem even more ominous..
Especially since Chizuru's mind is immediately running away with that fact, imagining tons of terrible scenarios this poor girl could have ended up in. ]
Did you get hurt? I'm so sorry to hear it, if that's the case..
no subject
[Snow's folklore doesn't really HAVE vampires like they are in modern-day myth so she doesn't immediately think of them. ]
It was worrisome to have a small pool of blood on my pillow and nightgown but I was able to get both stains out.
no subject
Oh.
Oh no.
Chizuru knows exactly what that means. After all, Chizuru's world doesn't just have vampire folklore. Nuh-uh. No, she lives on an entire compound filled with vampires back home. She knows exactly what that means, and the other girl doesn't.
Talk about a delicate situation.
Her hands raise up to cover her mouth when she realises it's hanging open. ]
Um.. forgive me.
[ Look, this is clearly totally not a suspicious thing to say-- ]
But could we maybe.. meet up in person? I can come over to your house, if that's more convenient for you. It's just.. I think this might be something I should tell you in person. [ Rather than blasting what happened to this poor girl all over the network. Where the culprit could hear it. ]

[ Chizuru is too honest and sweet to not admit that, though she's fussy about making the other too worried. Hence why she's trying really hard to not show the full force of her concern.
Which, in this moment, is.. quite a lot that she's trying to keep on the inside. ]
Where exactly do you live..? I'll use the lamps, so I'll be over as soon as possible, I promise!
no subject
There's no rush, dear. I'm certainly not intending to go anywhere with this pain.
no subject
Then.. I'll see you soon.
[ And she means it. A moment after she's already using the lamps to travel over to Crenshaw, managing to find the other's house after asking around a little.. so Snow White will hear a knock on the front door. If she opens it, she will find Chizuru standing there - though she politely bows upon seeing the other. ]
Hello. Thank you for being kind enough to let me come explain in person..
no subject
A literal bear.
He chuffs and grunts at Chizuru's greeting and thanks, seemingly gesturing for her to follow him.]
Oh! Is she here, Bernard? [Snow's voice comes further from down the hall.] Just follow Bernard!
no subject
Why is everything so strange today?
Not to mention that her carefully rehearsed speech - rehearsed in her head on her way here, that is! - was totally wasted now, since she accidentally said it to a bear opening up the door, rather than a person.. which means that Chizuru's face is definitely flushed with a blush, not even bothering to question the entire bear thing or how it's leading her inside now.
She's way too flustered to think about why there's even a bear opening the door in the first place. ]
.. Ah, forgive me.. I thought you'd be opening the door.. [ Chizuru says, once the other human - rather than just the bear - is finally in view. ]

When Chizuru gets to Snow, she is sitting down, surrounded by rabbits who are trying to make sure she has the most comfortable seat possible despite all her pain. She looks at her and smiles.]
I'm so sorry for not answering it myself. I got a bit dizzy and had to sit, then my friends insisted I stay put. I'm so terribly sorry for not greeting you at the door.

[ At least it's more understandable than the entire zoo the other has going on in here. If the other was attacked by a vampire, then of course she'd be too weak to just walk around - that much makes sense to Chizuru.
But she feels more and more confused the more she thinks about all these animals trying to help the girl out, so she tries to shove that to the back of her mind for now. She needs to focus on the reason for her visit, since it's a little more urgent than her questions about all these animals, she thinks. ]
But as to why I came.. I believe that I know what caused all the trouble this morning. Um, with the blood and all, I mean..
no subject
[Snow was very used to not being able to fix a lot of things. It was basically her entire life.]
I assume you mean the blood that came from the wound on my neck, isn't that right?
cw: discussion of vampirism
But she at least wants the other girl to know. Especially since she still seems so young and innocent. ]
Yes. I recognize the wound on your neck. [ Chizuru pauses, trying to put all of this as gently as possible. ] It means a person was drinking your blood. It seems that people here generally call those people.. 'vampires.'
[ Sure, she's used to a different term, but she's supposed to keep that one secret, so.. ]
But you're saying you don't remember that happening at all..?
no subject
And no, I'm afraid not. I was asleep the whole time. My animals didn't even seem to notice either.
no subject
How peculiar, she thinks. ]
Well, vampires, they.. really crave blood. They can't help it.
[ The kind of vampires she knows, anyway, which is what Chizuru is going by here. ]
But it's not like people would usually volunteer to let them drink their blood, so they often just attack random people.. [ Chizuru's voice trails off, and then she bows her head. Even if Snow White is younger than her, she still wants to be respectful, especially in a situation like this! ] I'm so sorry that happened to you.
no subject
So now what do I do?
no subject
[ Chizuru really dislikes saying it, because she doesn't want to worry the other. But on the other hand - it's not like she wants to lie either, and the truth is that vampires don't really have many weaknesses where Chizuru comes from.. None that Snow White would be able to put into practice, anyway. ]
Maybe you could see if it might not happen again.. Maybe they'll move on to someone else. [ Which also isn't great, but maybe that'll be a person who can deal with this sort of thing and teach the vampire a lesson. ] But if it keeps happening, then.. um, please contact me!
[ Chizuru nods, trying to seem as determined as she can, despite being such a soft and gentle girl. ]
I'll do whatever it takes to make sure they leave you alone, please don't worry..!
no subject
[She winces as she reaches out to take Chizuru's hand and give it a weak, gentle squeeze.]
Thank you for doing this for me, but you don't have to!
no subject
No, I want to do this..!
[ After all, it feels unfair. For a vampire here to do that sort of thing to someone without asking, and then on top of that to do it to someone who seems as young and sweet as Snow White.. It just doesn't feel right, and Chizuru stares at the other girl while she allows her hand to be held like that. ]
Besides.. it's my duty. My name is Chizuru Yukimura, and I'm the page of the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi. [ Usually she doesn't do the entire formal introduction like that, but it feels relevant here, and it might make letting her help out feel more natural to the other. ] Protecting those who can't protect themselves.. That's is what I am supposed to do, so please don't worry about it.
no subject
Oh, that's really so kind of you, Chizuru, thank you so much. And I am sure you will make a wonderful vice-commander yourself someday!
no subject
[ Something about that last statement on Snow White's part definitely makes Chizuru start to look flustered almost instantly. After all, she never even dreamed of becoming anything like that, and the sheer mental thought of her in that position is..
Well, it sure is something. Something wild.
Which makes her quickly shake her head. ]
A-Ah, no, I'm definitely not vice-commander material..! [ Definitely not. She could never do all the work Hijikata does! ] I'm already happy as long as I can help keep other people safe, you know? That's why I was so worried about your circumstances here..
no subject
Although, if you think about it, aren't you the commander here in Trench? No one else from home, isn't that so? And you're carrying on the duties of your profession.
no subject
[ Apparently Chizuru hadn't stopped to consider that for even a moment. It's obvious from how surprised she looks in this moment. Her eyes are so wide right now. ]
I.. I don't think that's exactly how it works.. [ She gently points out. Not that Snow White is wrong, but.. ] I don't think it would be much of a group or an organisation if it were just me, you know..?
[ Besides, she'd be way too flustered to ever think of herself as a commander in any scenario. ]
no subject
You're already offering to help me, after all, and you certainly don't have to.
no subject
I'm.. definitely not a leader. [ That much Chizuru knows. She's a very, very good follower, but a leader? Someone who'd gather people and tell them what to do? To inspire them, and keep them together?
There's no way she'd be able to deal with that pressure. ]
I can try to do my best to help out individual people where they need it, but.. um, gathering people and all.. I'd really be no good at that. [ Unlike Snow White and her army of animals. ]
