[it's a video, but it's dark. either someone on the other end still hasn't gotten the complete grasp of how a magical chunk of crystal is supposed to work compared to a smartphone (the unlikely cause) or they're simply not wanting to be seen right now (the likely cause). not that he cares which of the two people want to assume.

there's a faint "fwooph" and a blue glow momentarily illuminates the surrounding area. dusty wall, dark-colored cushions, an old curtain drifting lazily against the side of a dark boot, and the reflection of that blinding blue flared up in the glass of a three-sided bay window. gone, and it plunges back into the shadows. takes a few more moments for the image to adjust, ultimately revealing the hovering orange end of a cigarette caught in the glass's image.

he'll be keeping the rest of himself in the shadows for the time being.]

[this place is a dichotomy, looks old but somehow isn't? since plenty of people here apparently come from different places and worlds, best take a quick shot in the dark for familiarity sake. an exhale sends a jet of smoke into the glass, wisps curling in licks over the surface.]

Likely cause he planned to end it all before, and despite relishing in getting to hit Endeavor harder this time around, he wasn't happy to have his intent interrupted and halted. Spend 10 years planning, only to have it get halted right as it was all hitting the climax. Plan blueballs... Yeah, it's interesting that Shoto never has tried to "burn himself out", but since that would require using that side of his Quirk, obviously he wouldn't resort to it even for that. Then Deku got to him and he accepted it as his own. I'm pretty sure Dabi knows his Quirk isn't Endeavor's; it's the one thing that makes him any sort of "unique" in his life as far as 'Todoroki' is concerned. I think if Endeavor of Shoto ever actually show Dabi they can also make blue flames, he would have a damn meltdown, cause they're "taking what's mine" away from him. But he sure does like calling his flames "Endeavor's" when he's committing crimes with them, just to rub it into his dad some more. Poor Nejire...]

I've noticed the little brat! Blaming Endeavor when it's obvious he's proud of the fact that he's got the hottest flames. I also don't think Endeavor will ever go blue. He went white with his Prominence Burn (I think) but Shouto using blue? It's a common theory but my bet is he won't. Instead, he'll create something uniquely his using his ice and fire. ]

(saved bakugou the awkward stupid match afterwards.) yeah he totally dumps all his actions on endeavor. endeavor went blue in one of the episodes or movies... but it takes a huge toll on him and it's a very last-ditch effort thing. yeah, i don't think shoto will go blue either, due to how much emotion (and puberty?) would be needed. hey at least he can make some killer steam?]

I also stopped watching the anime since... S2 lol. So much emotion which dabi might push him towards so I do think he'll unlock a powerful attack not something fire or ice, but a combo attack. lmao. He can make explosions, so I'm hoping it goes in that direction. ]

(and other nasty words as well.) i'm glad he got pushed enough to finally accept it; his quirk's one of the most varied and flexible and it's fun to explore it. *le shrug* at least the anime's kept pretty faithful to the manga, so it's got some strong points! but yeah, think that's the only reference to it being blue. either way, dabi doesn't know and obviously believes it can't, cause his flames are even stronger than endeavors, and that's even before they went blue. that'd be an interesting one-two punch of fire and ice. yeah he can do that whole superheating the water molecules in the air to make an explosion, so that's one combo if he doesn't opt for a steamscreen. i get more a feeling he's going to be using his ice and fire to stall dabi out. to get a body even touya can't burn, rendering himself an immovable shield his brother can't get past and thus making his threat moot. while he tries to talk some sense into him. don't think he's got any sense left to be talked into, but we'll see.]

Trench isn't a modern city. The blood magic makes up for what they lack in technology and the blood ministers are better than most doctors back home.

(good, cause he's not gonna make it easy for him to stay calm.) hah, hell yeah! heater and air conditioner. frosty treats and flambe goods. ready supply of water. look, i love the fact he's got his sass to balance out his normal blank slate face. probably doesn't even know he's doing sass half the time! someday they'll be together and just sass/rude at someone else in an unconscious double team. brothers. actually dabi didn't get his blue flames until he hit puberty; he was normal red flames up until 13ish. they were just stronger and hotter than endeavor's the rest of the time. plus he and shouto don't have endeavor's ability to make shapes and constructs with their flames, which gives endeavor some advantage over them as well. i know in video games dabi's got things like homing fire balls and pillars, but as far as the manga/anime goes, the most he's done asides from his normal flamethrower blasts is make that ring of fire around endeavor and hawks. he ain't got fine-tuned flames. but yeah, if he had fire resistance, he'd trounce him. (unless endeavor got in close and decked him, cause he's a glass jaw physically... thanks mom... bitch.) yeah, that's what i'm thinking. shouto's going to keep him occupied/trapped and wear him out, denying him the revenge against endeavor or his chance to kill shouto. you know, break his ambitions until he can do nothing else but stop. (well i also think deku could probably beat dabi, just cause dabi has no business going up against one for all and deku's fucking reckless as fuck.) i really don't think shouto'll get through to him. if he does, it's gonna be a major "power of friendship" talk-no-jutsu thing. unless they get rei, fuyumi, natsuo, and enji in that same place and everyone calls to him kind of family power healing thing... it's gonna be heart-breaking either way.]
