Well, well! Things have certainly gotten a lot more interesting, haven't they? Haha, I'm quite excited to see what you all have in store for this new world.

[He has been enjoying going through the Omni and gathering info about everyone making media posts to it. Social media is just the greatest, isn't it?]

My name is Childe, for those who don't already know me. And I have one simple thing to ask you all-

What are all of you planning to do with your newfound powers? Will you use them to become stronger? Fight? Or learn to use them for some other, devious plan? Or perhaps you'll use them for the betterment of Trench...I'm all ears, you know.

[Minako didn't actually ponder just what she would be doing with her own honestly. She was more focused on other things, but now she did have a good think over it.]

If I had to pick it would be in the hopes to benefit in another way beyond what I could already do.

Sounds like quite a modest aspiration.

[He tilts his head to the side, not seeming to be surprised by that answer.]

I don't mean to pry, but benefit could mean any number of things. Benefit for yourself? Or benefit for the good of all?

Benefit for someone special to me as well as just a general myself. At least for right now anyway.

One cannot simply benefit others without dealing with myself first after all.

I can certainly understand that sentiment. I've always found that as a good reason to learn to fight and get stronger.

[He pauses, reminiscing on a thought that her statement brought to mind, before he continues.]

Let me hazard a guess...is it to protect someone?

It might be. Though I am just a weak but beautiful young woman who will find my own ways to protect those I love.

[Of course she is lying in certain aspects but she had her reasons.]

[ A friendly face! Wu grins at him through the camera. This might be one of the first times they've talked when not in mortal danger, huh? ]

I don't know if the powers I seem to have now will help me fight at all? Which is probably a good thing, because I've never been very good at fighting! I think, well. I don't know what I'll use them for. They're just kind of happening to me right now?

What can do you?

[He chuckles softly at the sight of Wu. It really is the first time they have been able to speak without fear of dying.]

What can I do? Well...I can create a poison, of sorts. I'm still working out how I want to use it. [He ponders for a moment. Wu, you said so many words just now.] I'm curious though...what do you mean that they're 'just kind of happening to you right now?'

[That's mildly concerning!]

[ He blinks. None of his friends have said that yet. He's seen fire and seen memories, and heard about the shining sparkles of another type of blood, but not this. ]

Oh, wow! How do you create poison? That's so, wow!

[ Real articulate, bud. He shakes his head, trying to gather his thoughts ]

Ah, well. I can feel what other people are feeling. And I think they can feel what I'm feeling? And I can show them my memories. But I really don't know how to, ah. Not do those things. And it's sort of becoming an echo chamber! If Mako's annoyed or something, then I feel that annoyance and I get annoyed, then he feels that and bam! We're really mad at each other.

[Childe's eyebrows raise. He can't tell if that's a blessing or a curse. Memories too? He could either be a great fighter or a great spy.]

That...is an incredibly useful ability! Believe me, I can think of plenty of ways that would help you in a fight. You know, if your friend Mako wouldn't kill you if you made him mad, you could always use him to help you train. You'll be surprised how easy he is to read. Most people are quite predictable when they're enraged.

[He smiles like this is absolutely a perfectly great idea and like it wouldn't put Wu at risk at all nope]

[ Wu frowns. He's not sure how useful it is. He could already sort of read people's feelings! It's not that hard! Why does he need magic to do it? ]

I don't know about that. I don't really want to make Mako mad at me again, it really wasn't very nice last time, and he's also a firebender and like twice my size? And he already gets mad at me when he tries to train me! It's, ah. No, not with him. Maybe somebody else..?

[ Who else, though? Which of his friends isn't scary when they're mad? Raleigh's scary, Korra's scary, Lysithea's scary any day ]

Perhaps I am lucky. I don't seem to have been granted any new powers, and the way my friend's seem to be working, I think that's a blessing in disguise. He keeps freezing himself to his sword without meaning to.

[ Social media really is a wonderful invention, isn't it? Like a thousand tiny letters all at once, like a blastia network with messages. Flynn's still trying to figure out the Omni—it is, currently, entirely too close to his own face—but he likes it, at least. ]

I do believe that Yuri is planning to use them to get stronger and for the benefit of the city. What about you? What is your plan?

[He chuckles lightly when Flynn mentions his friend freezing himself to his weapon. Everyone has little bumps in the road when it comes to learning to control their newfound powers.]

It must be a sight to see your friend Yuri freeze himself to his weapon like that. I regret not being present myself to see it. But to answer your question, well, my plan is to utilize my new blood powers to continue down my path to become stronger. That has always been my goal in life. I don't see how not gaining powers is a blessing at all.

[ Thank you, Childe, for not making Flynn feel like a terrible friend for enjoying it so much. Of course he understands Yuri's frustration, but... ]

It's quite funny, although he'll need to learn to control it sooner rather than later if we're going to join the ranks of the Hunters here and help keep the city safe.

[ There's something in Flynn that piques at the second half of Childe's answer, though. He pauses, watching the little screen. It's true that being stronger would help with many of Flynn's goals, and it's been a lifelong goal of his as well, but... ]

I suppose it depends on your reasoning for wanting to become stronger. In my case, while my training certainly helped get me to the point I needed to be, becoming physically stronger than I am now won't give me the skills I need at this point to make a difference. So, what are your reasons? What conviction is driving this goal of yours?

To conquer the world, of course.

[He smiles back warmly. It's not malicious, just a genuine smile at the thought of one day accomplishing his goals.]

I think I'm still quite a ways off from realizing my dream, but nevertheless I'll always continue to pursue power in order to reach my goals. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have a rougher time here than I would have back in Teyvat.

[Maul's appear not to be quite as straightforward as some that he's seen like shooting fire out of one's fingertips. He's not sure exactly what being a Vileblood has granted him in terms of powers except a very high pain tolerance.]

Are you sure you have them at all? It would be a shame if you were so unlucky as to not be granted powers.

[He gives Maul an inquisitive look.]

[This guy too, then? He knew some people's blood didn't change color at all, but this guy had the same blood as him.]

Forgive me, then. I'd heard that it was possible to be one of the unfortunate ones to arrive with no new powers at all. I've...heard things about those with green blood. Surely you've caught wind of these rumors as well?
