( The feed opens to a woman who's clearly seen better days, hair a mess of disheveled layers and eyes circled in dark. Fellow Warmbloods might be able to relate to the way she moves β as though hardly daring to, even the most subtle shifts of her body resulting in little stabs of pain.
Despite the wince that flinches across her features as she settles back against a nest of pillows, the woman offers a quiet laugh. )
This is probably the worst time to show my face on here, huh. But I hope the rest of you who have this flu, or whatever it is, are taking care.
Anyway, since all I can really do is sit here... ( βa wry little smile; it's been weeks and she's still not too thrilled about being home-boundβ ) ...it's been giving me a lot of time to think.
( She reaches very slowly for something that was just off-screen, drawing it gingerly into her lap. It's a brown teddy bear. )
This is something from my home that ended up here with me. It's my daughter's. When she was little, she had a very hard time with sleep. ( An understatement to be sure; the progressively dangerous sleepwalking spells are what she now knows were supernatural callings to her daughter's fractured soul. But Rose won't divulge that quite so openly. )
This guy brought her comfort, so in turn, he brought me comfort, too. ( She can't quite hold the stuffed animal to her chest the way she wants to, not with physical contact being as painful as it is, but one arm dares to loosely curl a bit closer around it, protective. )
Do you have anything here with you, from your home? If you don't mind sharing, what does it mean to you? This sick old lady would love to hear your stories.

After all, she really looks like she's doing so bad.. Even though Rose may be a total stranger to Chizuru, there's no way that doesn't immediately tug on her heartstrings. She must be having such a hard time, and that's enough to make Chizuru feel for her. ]
.. I'm so sorry that you're having a rough time, miss. [ Chizuru isn't a warmblood, so she doesn't know why exactly, but she can imagine that it must be something this place is doing to her. ] And it's.. really sweet of you to think of your daughter during a time when you're having it rough, if I may say so.
[ Maybe it's all a little overly polite, but it seems to come from good intentions, judging by Chizuru's expression. ]
Is there at least someone over there to help take care of you..?

Hello there. Thank you, that's very kind of you. She's gotten me through the darkest times of my life, to be sure.
( Despite saying such a thing, Rose's smile remains warm, and it softens further at the girl's question. )
Actually, my daughter's here with me now. And she's a really good nurse, if I do say so. The trouble is I'm kind of a stubborn patient... ( There's a soft laugh, one that doesn't move her body at all β even just that movement would sting. )
Sitting around doing nothing is pretty hard.

[ That simple fact seems to be enough to make the young woman's face light up with a smile. After all, some parts of this place seem so odd and cruel that it makes it very easy to be happy about something as simple as two people who are so close being allowed to be here together.
To support each other, especially during moments like these. ]
I'm so glad to hear that. I'm sure both of you would have been worried about the other, had the situation been any different.. [ Her smile shrinks a little, but it's still very much present on Chizuru's face. ] Please don't make things too hard for her, miss. I'm sure you would want her to rest too if the roles were reversed!

I suppose I'm still getting used to the fact she's actually here. ( Not that it's difficult to do that, it just... sometimes still feels like a dream. Like it's too good to be true. And Rose is terrified, not so deep down, that something's going to take Sharon away again.
That little smile spreads at the young woman's words, and Rose is laughing again, softly. )
No, you're right. You're very right, and it's a good reminder, so thank you. It's too easy to get frustrated with being stuck in bed, but it's probably more frustrating for her having to battle a stubborn mom, isn't it...
( Sharon's such a trooper, but Rose probably hasn't made things as easy for her as they could be. )
I'm Rose, by the way. ( Her smiles warms. ) What's your name, darling?

.. though the question snaps her out of those thoughts entirely, her eyes growing a little wider in surprise. ]
O-Oh! My name is Chizuru. Chizuru Yukimura. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss Rose.
[ Maybe a tad overly polite, but Chizuru can't help it, considering her personality and the society she comes from.. ]
Even though it's really too bad that you're having such a hard time right now..

It's nice to meet you too, Chizuru. That's a very pretty name.
( Her smile brightens a little, after the introduction. Rose always enjoyed meeting new people, and especially now that she's bedridden, she's been sort of craving some conversation. )
At least this Omni... thing lets me talk to people and kind of get my mind off of it. ( She wrinkles her nose a little bit as she looks down at the device, fingertips tapping it lightly. ) Although it's been a little tricky to figure out... do they have stuff like this, where you're from?

.. though before she really has the chance to, there's already that question being thrown at her, and the last thing Chizuru would want to do is be rude by seeming to ignore it, so she quickly moves on to stammer an answer at that one instead. ]
N-No! Not at all, actually.. [ Boy, she's behind on technology even by this place's standards. ] I'm pretty sure that if I would have told anyone back home about these things, they would have no idea what I was talking about, or they'd think I'd be talking complete nonsense..
[ Chizuru smiles thinly as she's saying it though, despite some faint awkwardness present about her. ]
When you wanted to convey a message like this back home, you'd have to run all across Kyoto to find the person you'd want to relay that message to.. I actually often ended up doing that for other people back there.
