[Once Ruby gets a hold of the new Fluid (Which isn't called a Fluid but she's going to call it that until she gets corrected) she immediately starts it up to see what's going on. Surely she has some important and vital wisdom to pass onto the other people of Trench, right?

[ Ange knows that all of this is just a big, dumb joke.

But there's something nice at the center of it anyway. It's a nice thought, that Ruby will find her anywhere.. though maybe not if it's ever for a prank. ]

Speaking of finding me. [ This is entirely unrelated to finding her.. ] How are your powers doing now?

[Ange meant the world to Ruby and if she had to she would literally go to any length to find her. That much was true. She might go easy on her in terms of pranking though, she did deserve her privacy!]

They've been a little weird today???? Just kind of been zapping things more than anything.

No fires yet!

You probably would have smelt those though.

Oh and the kitchen table is an ice cube but it's melting.

[ How come what Ruby is saying now is suddenly the mild scenario? How did they end up this way. ]

I guess that means I'm going to have to put a bucket of water and a fire thrower in each room.

[ Because apparently they're just going to have to live with things either being set on fire or being frozen for however long this lasts.

Hopefully not too long. Ange is slowly approaching maximum stress levels. She may have to rub her temples here for a moment. ]

[Ruby has no idea how it's come to this but she's kind of eager to get it figured out herself. As much as she tends to act pretty cool about it.]

Now you're speaking my language! The flame throwers will be great for monster defense too. We'll be fully equipped before long.

Maybe I can attach some swords to 'em while I'm at it.

You're the only person not allowed to touch them.

I'm going to put notes on all of them.

[ Because Ruby is already a living flame thrower. The last thing she needs is more fire. ]

Ruby, do I have to remind you that you are ALREADY firing fire from random limbs at any given moment?

Adding more fire to that just means you'll burn down the house!

No... I've got that on lockdown honestly. I mean I don't have a solution for it but I know it's happening a lot.

...It also means I could totally burn monsters to a crisp though. Unlimited fire!

[entreats]

[ Talk about putting a completely positive spin on it. It's such a Ruby-like thing, Ange thinks. ]

That's why we have to find some sort of way for you to control it. Because taking care of monsters that way is totally cool and useful, but accidentally setting me on fire too is going to be a problem.

[onekindsoul]

[That is a good point and something she is worried about but it's not like she could show that.]

You don't have to worry about that. I wouldn't set you on fire ever. Accident or not. You're just going to have to trust me on that!

[entreats]

[ There's a slight pause before her reply appears. ]

Of course I trust you.

[ Ange's expression - as she looks at the words - is a little complicated. A little guilty. She doesn't ever want Ruby to feel like Ange doesn't trust her, because she does. Of course she always does, no matter how much she might whine complain about certain things Ruby does.

But this power.. it's so unpredictable. If Ruby really has such control over it, surely she wouldn't be setting herself accidentally on fire, right?

Would saying that out loud though betray her trust in Ruby? This is so hard. ]

I'm sorry if I made it seem like I don't. I'm just worried.

Of course I know you trust me.
I'm just making light of what I don't have a whole lot of control of at the moment.
Which is kind of what we're both getting at here.

I get that you're worried.
But I'll make sure that you're safe and sound.

I think you mean make sure that we're safe and sound.

[ Ange isn't just worried about herself, really. If she's worried about her own safety, that's only insofar that she doesn't want to lose this new life when she's only just gained it - especially when they have no idea if Deerington rules in regards to death apply in this place too. ]

But I know you can do that.

[Ruby blinks at that. She was still getting used to the fact that her life was something that she shouldn't be ready to give at a moments notice. It wasn't something that she normally thought too much about but it was built into her and hard to shake.]

Yeah. That's what I meant. See- I need you remember the little details like that.

But you're right. Yeah. We'll be safe and sound.

And I know you know. But sometimes it makes me feel better to say it out loud. You know?
