Hello. Again. [ Oof, okay, not the strongest start. ] I'm Anakin Solo, a knight of the Jedi Order, at your service. I sort of remember being here before, and I wanted to thank everyone who helped me out.

They offered me a bed at the orphanage, but I don't want to take it from someone who might need it.
How does housing work here, exactly? I don't mind sleeping outside, but that doesn't seem wise in the long run.

[ A pause. ]

By the way, I don't remember the sky being like this before-- is this normal? As normal as anything is here, I mean.

[ Another pause. He's clearly not in his element. ]

[It is still strange to think about him as Anakin, given that Anakin is her husband, is here, and that he has been named after him. But he is from the galaxy that she knows, and she can recall the conversation that they had had. Knows herself better now as well compared to the mish-mash that was her brain then.]

There's no need to sleep outside, unless that is something that you prefer. There's a few different ways to treat housing here. For myself, I found a distract that I liked, and then looked for a house within. It... requires a bit of work, but it is a project that we've been labouring on.

[ With his memories intact, Anakin now knows who Padme is to him. His grandmother, a figure even more mysterious than his grandfather. It takes him a moment to compose himself enough to reply. ]

I've been told sleeping outside is a bad idea, so I'll start looking for a place.

[ He catches the "we" and the implication that she's settling in. ]

Where did you decide to live?

I think that depends where you are sleeping outside.

[Some of the areas... They are not places that Padmé will willingly choose to visit, unless she has some reason for residing there. Then again, she'd settled partially due to how it had reminded her of Naboo, although quite a bit more polluted than her home world.

The we may not be who Anakin might think Padmé would choose to live with, if he knows of her. Rather, Sabé. Her shadow, sometimes her twin, and overall a dear friend.]

The Willful Machine. It's mainly a business area, but I enjoy the atmosphere, although it can use a little attending to overall.

Maybe. But from what I've heard, the Trench might get especially dangerous this month.

[ He files the information away. He's not planning on stalking her or anything, but knowing where everyone is can make finding them in a crisis a lot easier. ]

Does it seem like a place that would need a Jedi?

[ He wants to find a place where he can be of most use. ]

Heard?

[A curious note to her voice, wondering what it is that he has heard. Stars knew that last month had been... trying. The wounds upon her arms had finally healed up.]

I think any place would be honoured to have a Jedi.

I was speaking to someone earlier-- his name was Kokichi. He said that something similar happened in October, according to people he knows. Beasts roamed the streets, water turned to blood. Correlation isn't causation, but I do get a sense of unease from some of the people here.

[ Not the cheeriest thought, but it's better to be straightforward so that they can both prepare for a potential Bad Time. ]

Maybe. I guess I just want to be wherever I'm most needed. But I get the feeling that might end up being "everywhere" if Kokichi's prediction is to be believed.

If the darkened sky is any indication...

[She'll need to be mindful when going on, and will certainly be keeping her blaster on her person when she does so. She may not like to use it, but she will, if necessary.]

I'd suggest finding an area that suits you, and going from there. You'll stretch yourself too thin if you try to take everything on.

[ Wryly: ] If the darkened sky is any indication, I'm going to be very busy for the next month.

[ But his voice softens. ] But I'll keep what you said in mind. I know I'm no good to anyone if I burn myself out.

[Somehow she thinks every month will be busy in some way or another.]

Good. I would hate to hear that something had happened to you.

[ That gets a smile out of him, unseen but clearly heard in the cadence of his voice. ]

The same goes for you, Padme. [ A pause. ] I'm at your service, whenever you need me.

Forgive me for hoping that I'll never require your service, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome the company.

[ A soft laugh. ] No, I understand. Jedi tend to be wherever the trouble is, and most people try to avoid it.

[ He, on the other hand, runs toward it. Blame the Skywalker in him. ]

Hopefully I'll make for good company. I don't spend a lot of time with people outside of the Order.

[ Eventually he'll have to tell her about himself. How they're related. And he knows that the longer he keeps the secret, the more hurt she'll be once she finds out.

But he's not sure how to go about it. And he should touch base with Luke first. And probably get his head on straight. ]

[democratically]

I may attempt to avoid it, but it does have a knack for finding me.

[Then again, she tends not to run away from the danger, at least in some instances. It all depends what the situation is.]

It seems that this is your chance then. True, there are those from the Order here, but there are plenty more that aren't.

[ Anakin smiles to himself. He's not surprised-- everyone he's met who married a Jedi has had a knack for getting into trouble. Maybe that's what brings them together in the first place.

Making friends is certainly going to be a challenge. Aside from being used to Force sensitives almost exclusively, he's not the best at initiating friendships. On purpose, at least. ]

Trials abound here, it seems.

Trials, indeed, and plenty of helpful people that are willing to offer a hand, when needed.

You sound like Master Kenobi.

[ Another person telling him not to burn out and to ask for help. Is he really that easy to read? ]
