Hello. Again. [ Oof, okay, not the strongest start. ] I'm Anakin Solo, a knight of the Jedi Order, at your service. I sort of remember being here before, and I wanted to thank everyone who helped me out.

They offered me a bed at the orphanage, but I don't want to take it from someone who might need it.
How does housing work here, exactly? I don't mind sleeping outside, but that doesn't seem wise in the long run.

[ A pause. ]

By the way, I don't remember the sky being like this before-- is this normal? As normal as anything is here, I mean.

[ Another pause. He's clearly not in his element. ]

Any house that you want to claim as your own is fair game. If you need somewhere temporary to rest, my home is available. Your uncle is here quite often, so I can assure you no harm will come to you should you wish to stay.

[Maul's gotten used to having various Force users in and out of his dwelling, which is large enough to house just about anyone who wishes to stop by.]

The offer to stay at Maul's house stops him short. His uncle stays there? That's both worrying and on-brand for Luke. He'll have to pull his uncle aside and have a talk. Which is probably going to be more awkward than this entire conversation. ]

Not that I know what 'jedi' or any of that means, but welcome, Solo-chan. I'm Kokichi Oma. I'm pretty new too, but the impression I got is that the orphanage is pretty free-reign. People probably appreciate good deeds though...my friend and I just kinda found a house when we wanted to get one.

As for the sky...that's not normal. That's a bad sign, from everything I've heard. April's gonna be rough, pal. Y'might wanna stay indoors and get rations.

[ It takes Anakin awhile to respond. For one thing, he's not sure how to approach the conversation. But, more importantly, it's actually Ben Kenobi. Right there. For as much as his uncle describes his old Master, nothing quite approaches seeing him, talking to him.

Finally, he turns the feed on and decides to plunge right in. ]

Yes. I was named after Anakin Skywalker.

[ Ezra's voice is a major comfort. At this point, he's starting to wonder if he should've given a fake name. (Well, not really.)

Anakin sounds extremely relieved when he replies. ]

Housing here is pretty... easy, you sorta just find an unoccupied house and take one, or an apartment if houses are too big. [... Should she MENTION the other Jedi oooor? You know what, she's sure they'll make themselves known.]

Don't think we met before but I'm Ruby. We've got a handful of other Jedi types around here so you are definitely not alone there.

If you don't like the orphanage I run a set of safe houses with Mako incase of like emergencies of anything. You're free to stay there until you want to venture off and find your own place.

...I think it's basically first come first serve, finders keepers when it comes to houses though.

[It is still strange to think about him as Anakin, given that Anakin is her husband, is here, and that he has been named after him. But he is from the galaxy that she knows, and she can recall the conversation that they had had. Knows herself better now as well compared to the mish-mash that was her brain then.]

There's no need to sleep outside, unless that is something that you prefer. There's a few different ways to treat housing here. For myself, I found a distract that I liked, and then looked for a house within. It... requires a bit of work, but it is a project that we've been labouring on.

[She has a gentle, tender voice. Genuinely curious. But also holding back on a little fear. One Jedi named Anakin has already made her life pretty miserable. Now there are two? She really doesn't want any more trouble.]

[ Anakin observes her closely. She does look a lot like Padmé but her mannerisms and tone of voice are clearly different. She's clearly uncertain, and he can only imagine why. Something about his name, given that she focuses on that instead of on him being a Jedi.

He's polite enough to sigh before turning on the feed. ]

No, it's not that common. I was actually named for Anakin Skywalker.

[ It's a relief every time he hears a familiar voice, especially when it's someone who's not so fixated on his name.

He sticks to audio, but she might be able to hear him smile. ]

The giant spider makes for a good story, at least. I was only here for a little while-- around the time we encountered the spider.

The advice I've gotten so far has been along the lines of "prepare yourself."

Ah, another of the Jedi. We have one or two of your ranks around here, and some of the ... let's call them other philosophies. [She took on a wry smirk.] A pleasure. I am called Vira-Lorr. Just an old seer and prophetess.

The matter of the moon is not normal, so I would be mindful that something is going on, some act of power that will last the month. It may be dangerous, and probably will, so be on guard.

[ That's not a sight that Anakin was expecting, but it does fit with being a prophetess, he supposes.

"Other philosophies"? Does she mean the Sith? It rankles him to think of anyone lumping Jedi and Sith together. But it's not entirely unheard of, particularly among people who don't know much about the Order.

But he's making an assumption. What matters more is the matter of the moon and its potential... difficulties. ]

Multiple people have mentioned that... events like this happen nearly monthly. Is that right?
