[Hey all, been a few months. You remember this guy. The shirtless guy with the giant mech. Well he's back. Clothed, this time. Though he might get more help if he were shirtless again, huh. Alas.

Raleigh is outside, sitting next to a planting bed, lush with vegetation. Like so much. It's a suspicious amount of plant life for Trench.

He smiles and waves. It's dark, but there are little torches all over so it's got a luau kind of vibe.

The camera pans so you can see the garden properly. It's two huge raised beds full to the brim on either side of the walkway to a huge, newly finished greenhouse . Lit from the inside, she looks something of a crystal palace.]

Do you all see this? This is the future.

I dunno about all of you but I'm sick to death of mushrooms.

[He pans through the veggies, all growing happily under warded netting. Lettuce, tomatoes, squash, beans, corn. Familiar for a lot of people. Very rarely seen in this world.]

Last month all my powers turned into plant stuff so I've been making and growing as much as I can. Things are hard here and the soil is awful, but it can be done.

[Raleigh moves towards the green house. Free range chickens dart around his feet as he goes, looking for food. He's the mama. Some of them are wearing little crochet hats. Inside the greenhouse is table after table after table of seedlings. The other side is all planting beds full of soil ready to go.]

I've been thinking about how important food is to all of us. Not.. well, obviously it's important, but I mean culturally, too. Making food from home.. having ingredients from home.. that's kind of our last connection.

[He sets his Omni down and reappears in frame. He looks tired, but when doesn't he.]

So.. Is there anyone out there who cares about this stuff? Because honestly I have the land but I'm learning as I go along and I could use the help. I'm not a gardener but I think we can scale this in a way that means we all get access to fresh produce. Like a co-op thing? I dunno. The land needs purifying, water, there's no sun.

I was part of a seed bank back in Deerington. Has anyone saved seeds from last month's growth? Would you donate them towards the cause?

Oh- also dairy. That's something I want to work on. This is a stretch but if you have goats or cattle let me know.

That's amazing. I'm still trying to figure it out. I had a garden back in Deerington but commercial agriculture? [He gives a low whistle.] No idea.

It um. It's... not a lot. But I'm - I'm an alchemist. I ... use a lot of plants so. I um.

I know about them. A-and I think. Some things from Tamriel are here now. They grow in weird environments already.

Yes. Um. I have a potion shop here - Potion Hut.

[He nods.]

It is - um. I think... I have ash yams? I think that's what they are - but. They can grow anywhere. Like Vvardenfell, and that's - that's a wasteland now.

[Ash yam. Yeah, he's definitely never heard of that but if they're anything like regular 'ol earth yams then it would be a great addition.

Hopefully the ash part isn't literal.]

I'm sorry to hear that but it's amazing to have a plant that can sustain itself in that kind of condition.

I'm mostly concerned about the blood pollution in the soil, and getting decent irrigation set up. Then we need man power. Two people can't tend crops set for two hundred on the side of another job. Any ideas?

Oh, it's okay, um. I'm not from. Vvardenfell. I'm from Cyrodiil - hold - hold on.

[He ducks down for a moment, scribbling something. And... it's a map.]

Um... volunteers, maybe? Like a share field?

That's my thinking. A cooperative. If you pitch in, you get a share of the product. And what's left we sell.

Yes! Like that. That's - that's a good plan. I um, when the ash yams are sprouting, you can have some.

It's nothing - I know - plants pretty well. From alchemy.

Man.. we don't have alchemy where I'm from. It's kind of a legend.

What sort of things do you make in your.. [Can he, a gen Z, say this with a straight face.] potion hut?

Legend...? Then - then who um. Makes medicine?

[Maybe they have healing mages?]

O-oh um. Health potions. Disease curing potions. Things for poison and um. Cold or heat. Resistance.

...huh.

I guess we do have alchemy in a way, then. We just call it medical science.

It was my understanding that alchemy was for turning lead into gold or something.

Oh... N-no that's. Not alchemy that's. Illusion. I think.

Or um. Maybe Alteration? It's magic.

I'm pretty sure our guys were trying to make it chemical. Didn't really work.

N... No, that. That wouldn't work.

You um. You can't change one thing into another. In alchemy. Not without magic.

I guess that's why we didn't get very far.

I mean, healing people is more important than making gold. Especially here. That's a worthwhile pursuit.

I... yes. Yes, they don't really need gold here. Do they?

Hm.. I dunno, actually. People sure do like shiny rocks. So I could be totally off base on this one, what do I know.

But they also like shells. And scales.

Mm.. yeah, that's true. No idea where you'd get scales from, though.

Like fish scales?
