[ John is in what looks to be a shop that's been abandoned for quite a while. There's a few bits of furniture with sheets over it. There's dust and cobwebs and the feed shakes as he accidentally bumps the table as he's trying to set it down. Once it is set up, he scrubs a hand over his face, through the bit of scruff at his jaw, and then around to rub at the back of his neck. He looks tired.
He istired but oddly energetic at the same time. ]
Right, not sure if any of you have been having trouble sleeping as well but I figured I may as well do this since I found the space for it. It's in Willful Machine, warding on the door glows amber. Easy to spot. I can still drop a location here in case.
I might be able to help with easing some of the bloodlust that seems to be cropping up. I've got incense and I'm working on some tinctures from those roses left behind for us. Smoke wands, too. Meditation seems to help. Yoga as well. I'm decent at both, don't mind showing anyone if they need it.
[ He reaches out for an old book covered with a dust cover and blows off the lingering film clinging before peeling that off. Any well-versed in the occult or magic might recognize the original grimoire of King Solomon. He's about to reach out with his free hand and turn off the feed when a thought suddenly occurs to him. ]
Oh, and I'd hate to go making such a terribly broad offer like I did back in the old town so to clarify: don't bother stopping in Maul. I wouldn't want the riff-raff to go showing up.
[ This is the smile on his face as he shuts the feed off. There's a location for the shop embedded in the message. ]

[ John can't imagine any of this is doing Stefan any favors. ]

( because john's right, he is not dealing well with this place. he can sometimes mask the smell but that's a temporary thing that won't always work.
he swallows. )
We couldn't go to a nice tropical island, could we?
no subject
[ He offers a soft ha at the mention of a nice island. ]
With our collective luck, we'd end up there and then have to contend with Cthulu or something.
no subject
( with his luck, all three of them would show up at the same time. )
How's the business there? You get a lot of people coming in?
no subject
[ That'd be rotten luck, wouldn't it? Best to try and avoid that. ]
Not so much just yet but I'm still working on getting it all set up. You and Katherine make it here all right?
no subject
( he's not really asking how that happened. he's just glad it did. )
How'd it all go with you?
no subject
[ His mouth turns up at one corner and there's a look of amusement that seems a little forced. ]
Had a few hiccups myself but I've got Herc here and a new one from back home for me. Kids are here in one piece so---suppose I can't ask for much more considering it all.

( it hadn't gone really well there but they'd both gotten through it. )
Yeah, I don't even want to know how this place ended up taking my house and dog and cat out of a dream world and dropping it here. If I think about it too much, I'm going to get a headache.

[ It's all related to Deerington. He imagines it might've actually been a level of Hell. ]
Fair enough. I'm still trying to locate everything of mind. Seems to have gotten shuffled about. We just went from a dream world to some kind of real world at least by these Celestial Wanker's standards. Now we've got to play catch up with the locals.

( he'd been in deerington so long that he had built a life even if a part of him knew it was a dream and could be dashed at any moment. )
I guess it's all connected somehow. Which I hate saying.

[ John's never really stuck around anywhere so long to build himself a spot. Always here there and everywhere. Maybe have an apartment but more just a base of operations and not anything to be tied to. The closest he got to was the Logue house that he abandoned years ago until more recently.
Home is a strangely dangerous word that reminds him of his father's ciggies and the whiskey he preferred to being a decent bloke. ]
I don't think any of us are really all that keen on it. What choice have we got but to try and make the best of it, though?
no subject
( and that definitely wasn't a lie. he was trying to see the positive in that katherine was here and his house was here and there were people he knew here. that was good.)
Guess one good thing that I hadn't thought about is that I don't have to worry about vampire politics for a little while longer.

[ Being positive when things seem to swing wildly from bad to worse on a whim is hard. There has to be a point system for trying, right? ]
Politics are a viper's nest on their best day. Can't imagine how cutthroat the vampire kind would be.
no subject
( easier that way. )
Surprised there's never been an all out war. But, I say that and I'm sure I've jinxed it and it's coming.

[ And this is coming from a man that does what he does. ]
Best find something to knock on then, mate. We've all got enough to worry over here without tossing that into the mix.
